If you always start with the maximum that you wish to pay, then if you do get outbid, it goes for more than you are willing to pay anyway.

Whenever possible leave bidding right up to the last 2 mins. if you put in a high bid originally there are people that are not happy until they've outbid you, it's like a control thing! Tell yourself what you are prepared to pay and put that amount in and no more, if you bid early and someone outbids you you can feel cheated but this is the best way to bid. Also worth noting is that if the seller has more than 1 item they will offer you a second chance to buy. This is really good cause you pay your highest bid i.e. you get it less than the person that won. Next time you go on click on the community link they are great guys and girls at the answer centre and on the discussion boards, you'll learn alot, happy bidding fellow ebayer.

YES, there are a number of legitimate companies out there that do have Systems that can bid for you.
But to use these services, you will have to supply them with your personal EBay User ID AND Password (risky).
Then they can place bids in the last seconds of the Auction, called "Snipe Bidding" , and a good chance of winning the auction.
At the end of the day, do you trust giving your details to a third party, that potentially could have access to all of your personal details (including credit card information) !!?
Ideally you shouldn't provide any such details to any 3rd party on the internet, the risks far outweigh the positives.
Hope this helps.

First of all, NO. No-one should be asking for your password. Report them to E-bay.
Second of all, be there for the auction at the end. I ussually arrive about 5 minutes before the end to make sure I don't get out bid.
Lastly, a little trick. Bit a little bit more than the round figures. Don't offer £25 or $25, offer 25.01. I am not sure how this works, but somehow, it helps me beat them just and no more.
Use with care. I only do it if I need to in the last minute.

you're sooooo incorrect! there are a range of causes to position in an early bid, you merely ought to entice close what you're doing: a) it places off different bidders who're in uncomplicated words attracted to paying the minimum quantity b) there are a range of human beings that watch an merchandise then ignore to truly bid, for this reason in case you get your bid in first you may win c) you'll get on your maximum bid first - if some different person places of their maximum bid first then you definately are crammed no matter if it truly is the same or more effective than you've been keen to pay d) you may want to purchase numerous random stuff for some pence or kilos that you'll then promote later for more effective expenditures marketed or photographed more effective efficient or on the right time of three hundred and sixty 5 days and so on. e) the position there is an merchandise up for public sale or purchase it now, i imagine that bidding stops the purchase it now

Absolutely not. You are better off stating the maximum you are willing to pay for a product (plus the shipping and handling costs) and state that amount up front. You will only have to pay that much if someone bids almost that much. If you are still overbid, then you at least know you wouldn't have paid more for it anyway. Do not give anyone your user name and password!!

no, don't do that...if you put a high maximum bid, ebay will automatically bid for you...the trick is in putting the maximum bid high enough...I get out bid a lot, but the ones i win, you have to find a high price that you would be willing to pay and go for it...but never give your information and password to any company..in fact, you might want to contact Ebay with the companies name, and let them check it out for fraud ...good luck and happy bidding

Do not use a company, its a hoax. Do it your self on ebay by using auto bid, just type in the maximum you are willing to pay and let Ebay do the rest for you. then you are safe :O)

DON`T give anyone your private information. They are not to be trusted. The reason you use passwords is to protect your privacy and your PC.
Trust no-one! :-)
