define 'terrorist'

Your question is an interesting one. Muslims follow the Qur'an (Koran) nowhere in the Koran does it say to attack anyone of any race or religion. Islam is a religion based upon the teachings of Muhammad. Muhammad agreed with the beliefs of Jesus Christ and Abraham before him. The People that are terrorists may claim to be Muslims and claim affiliation to the church of Islam, but that does not necessarily mean that they are. There are more than plenty of people that say the name of Jesus, and still live lives that are not of him. These people are extremists and should not be grouped with Islam at all. The reason there is not outrage, is because the Church of Islam is almost non-existent thanks to some WWI colonization and westernization that aided the splits (ie. Sunni and Shia, NOI and Islam, Sunnah, etc.) So all the terrorists may claim to be Muslims, but there is no church of islam that claims them as their own... just remember that not all terrorists are arabs either..... only 20% of Muslims are from Arab states... just thought u might want that piece of information

It just because we try to go into the religious back ground of the terrorist. All terrorists are the same in all religions and have the same blood group - ' T ' group - whether they are Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Muslims, etc. (I am not mentioning the other religious for want of space!) Then why single out Muslims? Let us not give prominence to their religious back ground. It will do more harm than the terrorists themselves! Only hunt for terrorists and gun them down! And definitely not their religions!

actually muslims are not a terrorist and also all the terrorists are not the muslims. there are some terrorists like LTTE, Goerge W. Bush, etc.,

actually the media will be the main thing which made the muslims as the terrorists.

when the media mention the terrorist in the news it will saw as "ISLAMIC TERRORISTS GROUP".
but htey didn't say the other terrorist groups like that.

so all muslims are not a terrorist and all the terrorists also not a muslim

Not every terrorist is a muslim but due to the current political climate, the media is rather fixated on muslim terrorists so thats all we really hear about.

Good question...There have been several news articles with the stated question above. Perhaps the reason is because the president continues to label many Islamic nations, and regions with large populations of Muslims as a "hotbed for terrorism."

This "hotbed of terrorism in the Middle East or South East Asia" is not always true, every other religion including Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism and Judiaism have all had their own extremists and terrorists. The Tamil Tigers fighting for the liberation of Tamil Eelam in Sri Lanka's majority Tamil northern region, were known to be the first terrorist group in the world to use Suicide bombings. They still use suicide bombings today though we rarely hear of it in the West. Today we associate suicide bombings with Islam when it actually originated with the Hindu Tamils of Sri Lanka!

Another thing is, Bush has never tried to distinguish between the extremists view of Islam and the more religious yet traditional view. Aside from the grievances about Western imperialism, capitalist exploitation and double standards in U.S. foreign policy, Bush has done an excellent yet very consquential job at feeding paranoia and xenophobia of Islam and Muslims. And anyone who sympathizes with Muslims are considered terrorists or anti-american before they can even explain their reasons for supporting the traditional forms of resistance without the use of terrorism. Yet even the resistance group one feels sympathy for is seen as a terrorist.

Your logic is flawed, simply because of the term "every terrorist is a Muslim"!!! WHY? because it depends on the time, place and perception. If you mean nowadays, the savage attack by colonial powers on Arab and Muslim land, are fought back by individuals instead of Govts. The individuals counter attack or resistance tend to go to soft targets in order to hurt more. While the colonial govt. practice TERROR at its best, it often call it 'Collateral damage". As an example, Israel sends F16 and Apache to bomb civilian areas in Gaza strip! with total impunity. If you are that Palestinian, what would you do, when you see your home, loved ones die by these TERROR machines?
