everyone acts differently, as you have mentioned. i think some gays are actually more feminine, and some lesbians are more manly. . . it's just how they feel.
sometimes it's just a little bit, but sometimes it's on the verge of transsexualism. that's just how they are. you can be a manly woman even if you aren't a lesbian, or a feminine man if you're not gay.
the feminine/masculine scale is SO large and diverse.
now, the problem is that some gay men feel that they are expected to act a certain way or that they should adopt certain mannerisms in order to fit in. which is sad.
i hope that clarified things a little bit.

Outrageous behaviour seen in some homosexual men is a fact of life. The vast majority of gay men roll their eyes up whenever some other gay man who overdoes the feminine stereotype appears. Unfortunately, it's overdramatic antics like what you're describing that contribute to the discomfort some people have with gays and lesbians.

The reason that some portion of the gay society acts femininely is due to the fact that they did still perceive themselves as a female rather than male. This leads to the portrayal of a feminine man rather than masculine man.
This is usually in the case whereby they are the receiving end of the relationship, a term the gay society called "bottom".
Usually the situation is mostly due to mental rather than physical.
In societies of Asia, where the female society are taught of the soft and gentle feminine culture,be in their gestures or portrayal, the gays tend to be more gentle and soft as in portraying a cultured Asian woman.Examples are those in Thailand and etc...
As for you, I am glad to hear that you do not bear feelings of hate towards my society. Understanding, communication and education is the only solution to the mass hatred in the world today. May you find peace among all humanity, whatever their sexual preference may be.

I would rather you'd have asked: "Why don't heterosexuals act like Gay people." It would be easier for me to respond within the framework of your question. However .....
I give everyone I meet respect and the benefit of doubt. I assume everyone is Gay or Lesbian until I find otherwise. And this has nothing to do with mannerisms or affectations.
Best Wishes!

The gay people that get the most attention are the feminine ones, most gay people are normal.
Just read about the gay bear community, haha.

Your brother is gay so you should ask him this question.
Are all heterosexuals or people in general alike? No
So there. I answered your question.
There is no particular stereotype a gay person ought to fall under.
Not all gay men prefer manly men just because they are gay. So just look at all your brother's friends and see that they are all different than you think.
Open your mind

Because, in their community they have the males and females like the straight ppl do. I mean the ones that act femmine are obviously the girls or women and the ones that act normal or very manly are the tops or the men. Same way with the lesbians, have those that act super girlly and others that are butch. So in a way they are being like straight ppl in their own way.

Being gay is just one aspect of letting yourself go and being free to be who you are. "Acting feminine" is how they like to act, it makes them happy. I'm sure some gays don't want to date feminine guys, but apparently some do. No one else can tell you who you are. To try is madness and also to care what other people think is madness.

well, have you asked your brother, since he's gay? I won't call you a stereotyping "*******" but that IS a stereotype. everyone is different, male/female, gay/straight. most don't fit the stereotypes
