Is your immune system weakend even if you were only 4 weeks pregnant? Thing is i had a slight urine infection and now today i have noticed a white dot on my throat and its so sore (onset of tonsilitus (wrong spelling)) even though i have never had it. I am getting pregnancy symtoms aswell but am on birth control. I tooko a test 14 days after sex and it came up neg. Im feeling very tired, bloated, as if my period is going to start any minute, stomach twinges, my nipples have gone red and kinda dimply. The infection i had seems to be going now as the kidney pains seem to have gone (none over the weekend).Anyone else suffered with symtoms like this and have turned out pregnant?

Doctor only said it was slight infection - told her i thought i was preg but that i wasnt now (that was only going on the test though). Not taking antibiotics. Dr said it was only slight so it was best not to.

Your immune system wouldn't be weakened until after the umbilical cord attached, so no, the symptoms shouldn't be a result of pregnancy.
That said, sounds like you are having a rough time. Get plenty of rest, drink lots of water, and take care of yourself! The illness could be why your period is late. Try another test in a few days to a week if you're still uncertain. Hope you start feeling better!

YES, when pregnant you immune system is weaker.
If you are pregnant your baby is in trouble. Infections (especialy kidney infection) can cause a miscarrige. Are you taking a-biotics?
Talk to a doctor to make sure. You might not be pregnant after all.
A test taken after 14 days might not show a pregn. yet. See your doc, Get a blood test, stop your pills immediately.

immune system during pregnancy works harder to protect the bodies of the baby and the mother. your body temp. rises 0,5 C or even 1 C during pregnancy which gives natural protection against viruses/microbes etc.
so, if you have infection, it's better to see the doctor because the damage could be higher for you when time passes and if this infection is not cured.

Remember that there is a second life in your belly, if you get to be pregnant. That means, many ressources (including energy for the inmune system cells) are yet devoted to your baby, and this might increase a bit the number of illnesses you have.
Good luck and congratulations if you have a baby.

I really think you should see a doctor , if you haven't already.
A pregnancy isn't an infection so there is no reason why your immune system should be affected.
