i dont know the names of the privious owners i can only go off of the address

It should be on your property deed. If not, try your local Survey Office or Land Registry.

I don't know where you live but in the US most tax offices for the county now have web pages. This is public information so you can see who owns or owed property.
Google your counties tax office and visit their web site. If you have the address of the place you want information on then you should be able to find the previous owner. E-mail me if you need more help.

Be careful, you might not want to know them. The previous owner of my parents house from 30 years ago showed up on our doorstep and wanted to see inside. We let her in and she started crying and talking about how her dad had built this rock fence that we had to take down to put our pool in. It wasn't that special but she seemed like a freak. Beware of previous owners!
