Does it make you feel better about yourself? I dont believe everyone does it, I am guilty however of making fun of friends in good humor, I sure get my share though, hell sometimes I make fun of my self. but never strangers, because I dont know there situation.

It doesn't make me feel better it is fun though. I'm too big on judging unless I dislike the person, but I do make fun of family members to their face and friends just for fun and out of love ^_^ They make fun of me to. :) Other than that, there is a thin line between making fun in a good way and making fun in a bad way. Some people do it to people they do not know or do not like TO their face because it makes them feel better, but I don't do that because I know how that feels.

This is a very serious issue here. Not everyone is affordable to be made fun of. I used to make fun of people who showed interest in me and of ocurse they were put off by my attitute towards them...I just can't be bothered when I was young because I am very attractive to both genders...not until I was terribly guilty and regrets of making fun of someone who showed interest in me recently because I realised how very much I am also interested in this person very much later. So friends, think thrice before you act.

I am guilty too.

Judgement is how we humans actually function in this world, every moment you are thinking to yourself is this burger good or bad or will this situation benefit me or harm me, will this person be a saint or is he going to rob me.

Having said that, I try my best to go deeper in my judgement whenever possible or when it matters. I try to be fair and look at all sides of the person.

As for making fun of people, nothing too personal and as long as it's just witty banter.

A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife
stayed home. He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed:
"Dear Lord: I go to work every day and put in
8 hours while my wife merely stays at home.
I want her to know what I go through, so please
allow her body to switch with mine for a day. Amen.

God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish. The next
morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman.
He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, awakened the kids,
Set out their school clothes, fed them breakfast, packed their lunches,
Drove them to school, came home and picked up
the dry cleaning, took it to the cleaners
And stopped at the bank to make a deposit, went grocery shopping,
Then drove home to put away the groceries,
Paid the bills and balanced the checkbook.
He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog.
Then it was already 1 P.M. and he hurried to make the beds,
do the laundry, vacuum, dust, and sweep and mop the kitchen floor.
Ran to the school to pick up the kids and got into an argument with
them on the way home.
Set out milk and cookies and got the kids organized to do their homework,
Then set up the ironing board and watched TV while he did the ironing.

At 4:30 he began peeling potatoes and washing vegetables for salad,
breaded the pork chops and snapped fresh beans for supper.
After supper, he cleaned the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, folded
laundry, bathed the kids, and put them to bed. At 9 P.M. he was exhausted
and, though his daily chores weren't finished, he went to bed where he was
expected to make love, which he managed to get through without complaint.
The next morning, he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said,
Lord,
I don't know what I was thinking. I was so wrong to envy my wife’s being
able to stay home all day. Please, oh please, let us trade back."
The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied, "My son, I feel you have learned
your lesson and I will be happy to change things back to the way they were.
You'll just have to wait nine months, though. You got pregnant last night."

i think all of us is guilty, we are just human...maybe when we do see someone to judge, we should think again, cause we don't know what the situation is, and it could have been us! rather try to see the positive in that person.

you know what, everyone judges and everyone makes fun of others. it's a natural thing for humans to do. predjudice means pre-judge, meaning you judge, meaning everyone is basically predjudice. and we all know we all make fun of others. like laughing at someone's haircut or the way the walk or whatnot.

depends on the person. Most Judge with appearance. Thats your first impression on people. So if u look dirty, than people will think your dirty. Again It depends onthe person and how they think/their personality.
