Not all children are. It depends largely on a variety of factors, including home life, popularity at school, how much they like their teachers, and what sort of temperment they have.
But it's pretty obvious when you look at it: children go to school, sit for 7-8 hours in desks with minimal time to do kid-things like run around, scream, yell, and explore on their own, get little individual attention from a teacher struggling to keep control of the classroom, are subjected to peer review, the pressure to fit in with a group of students who often tag a child with 'cooties' just because they wear glasses, or braces or have a freckle in the wrong spot, are forced to do worksheets and often, busy work, for little reward, and often have their day broken up into segments that prohibit the enjoyment of learning things they're actually interested in, when all they really want to do is stay home with mommy and daddy and explore the world on their own.

Same reason why some adults are unwilling to go to work. They don't wanna leave the comforts of home!

Because for those kids home is better than school.
I know children that likes more school because their friends and they have activities.
It helps if you make them sleep very early so it's easy to wake up them at morning.

It's unknown territory, fear of the unknown! They do not know what to expect. Tell them what fun place it is, with many friends around and one gets to learn new things.

Because they're being forced to sit still and do work that bears no extrinsic reward (unless grades are considered rewards, which to most kids, they aren't).

I dont get why us kids dont wana go to school. I really enjoy school, cos I am meeting new people and I am learning!!!

yeah. just the same as grown people. kids shoud be educated it's importance and let them know the joy of going to school. encourage them!!!

uh school shootings, bullies, low self esteem. laziness, bad hair days, illness, mean teachers, bad lunch food, and stinky gym locker rooms!
