The warfare in Afghanistan is of an extremely low intensity, and its existence has been pushed off the pages by our much heavier involvement in Iraqi.

People do care about Afghanistan. Many citizens the world over care about the Afghan people, governments not so much. Britain has been working to curtail violence in Southern Afghanistan after taking over from U.S. forces as part of a NATO coalition force. However, Bush's sudden switch from Afghanistan to Iraq based on a lie as we all have learned has left Afghanistan free to reemerging Taliban forces. The old Soviet Union also shares the blame for having destroyed Afghanistan in 1979.
Back to Iraq, the reason why everyone is so angry with the U.S. is because Iraq has been hogging if you will, the most media spotlight compared to other wars around the world. Other conflicts around the world have been ignored due to Iraq and the War on Terror. Most of the conflicts below receive only limited or no attention in the media what so ever. Whenever they do, there is absolutely no historic background as to how the conflict happened or who caused it.
Kashmir, Chechnya, Sri Lanka, Forty-Year-old civil war in Democratic Republic of Congo, genocide in Darfur and shaky peace in Southern Sudan, PKK war in Turkish Kurdistan, Nagorny-Karabagh between Azerbaijan and Armenian, Chechen war in Northern Caucasus, Chinese treating its rebellous Muslim Turkic providence Xinjiang with suspicion and harsh anti-terror policies. Uyghurs refer to Xinjiang as East Turkstan and are ethnically and culturally unrelated to the Chinese, though they share more common culture and ethnic unity with their Central Asian neighbors the Kazaks, Uzbeks and Kirghis. The list goes on but I do not want to run out of space.

Because they (the administration) lied about the reasons.
Because they continue to lie. Because they continue to play on the collective ignorance of the US population by claiming now that being in Iraq is part of the war on terror. Of course there's terrorist activity NOW, because the US created the conditions for it. But there was no Saddam Hussein link to 9-11. No Al Queda connection. And despicable as the Hussein regime may have been, the history of the US has never been to oust dictators. On the contrary, it put many of them in , and supported many more, in the first place.

There's only so much hate in the world and Iraq was hated first. Not the Iraqi people but rather what the word means to Americans.....lies, deceite, dishonesty, killing innocent women and children, our imbarrasing government leaders....that's why we are hated throughout the world. Ever see a foreign country holding a pro American Rally? Why??

We secured Afghanistan so quickly that it's not even news. Is it completely secure, NO. But the conflict there is on a much smaller scale, and of a much lower intensity. Nothing like Iraq.

Because someone told liberals that terrorists only inhabit Afghanistan and they like believing that.
Like this tris dabit .Obviously the formally trained highly intelligent military analyst that she is.
Terrorism is rearing its ugly freaking head all over the world.we are just one country. We have to deal with it as our resources permit. What makes trisdabit believe that bin ladin is still in Afghanistan?
What we could do is request that President Bush request Intel from her instead of Interpol,CIA, and Military Generals?
Why don't these people let the real men do the job of protecting us and keep there rusty two cents to themselves?
Obviously we haven't been attacked since 9/11.That is the goal yes?
So where is the thanks to president Bush for keeping your pretty little heads safe every night of every day since 9/11?
There is none from people like her. They don't care.just like kids need to whine and cry to feel special so do these ungrateful people that make me sick.

Because there are lots and lots of heroin in Afghanistan, and Bin Laden, the rebel defender and liberator, had been ousted to be their President for life!!!
So, a matter of choice for the leadership and be satisfied.
