When you're with a person and the relationship is starting out- often they will spend months wueing (sp?) you, treating you like a god, loving you tenderly and doing everything in their power to make you feel special- unfortunately, sometimes as relationships run on, people settle into their skin more and become confident that they no longer need to do these things to make their partner feel special-- even though they're being treated poorly, the partner will often stay with the person because they love who they USED to be and are living in the constant hopes that the person they fell in love with will return.

A lot of it comes down to insecurity-- often, being with someone who is bad to you makes you feel bad about yourself, which leads you to believe that you could never find anyone else that would love you-- people stay in abusive relationships because they either already had a low self-esteem, or the abuser has brought them down to a level where they see themselves as complete dirt.

It's all fear, insecurity and undying hope.

There may be several reasons.
1. The person has lost sense of judgement because of
blind love.
2. The person has never felt love from any corner, ever.
3. The person is very calculative. There must be some
big gain out of this pretence of love.
$. The person is a saint, knows to love only. Does never
hate in any condition.
Reasons may be many, many.

we have no control over who we love, however, someone with dignity will only tollerate being treated badly for so long before moving on. If they dont, then they must have low self esteem and think no one else will love them or other deep seated issues. No normal person will tollerate being treated badly for too long a time - no matter how much they love the person.

It's not hard really. When you truly love someone, you can't help but try to find the good in them and accentuate it. No matter how bad they treat you, you know that there is still something there that made you love them, and you can't help but want to find it again.

This is because when you love someone, you tend to ignore all his faults and wrongdoings. You only wish to see the good side of him. Thus, even when the person treat you bad, you will be happy that he is at least adknowleging your presence, then to have him ignored you completely.

You need to know yourself. I am an older person and I hear and see this all of the time. It is usually people that you seek out that are bad for you or the other person seek out people who tend to be weaker and that can be molded to fit their lifestyle better. You need to talk about this more.

Love is deaf, dumb, blind, and stupid. Plus it is human nature to want what you can not have and take for granted what we do have. Lastly there is also so much truth that we always hurt the one we love. I think it is because we expect them to love us no matter what.
