Why does only the JFK assasination interest conspiracy theorists?
What about the other presidents who were assasinated and all the unsuccesful attempts over the years?

You can find conspiracy theories about just about any historical event if you look hard enough. I do know that several of the other assasinations and attempted assasinations on American presidents have their own conspiracy theories surrounding them. I believe there may be a popular conspiracy theory dealing with the attempted assasination on Ronald Reagan. There is certainly much speculation regarding the assasination of Robert Kennedy also. I think JFK's assasination and corresponding conspiracy theories are so popular because A). It was one of the largest moments in American history and will never be forgotten and B). JFK's assasination has been shrouded in mystery since the day it happened and there does seem to be many good reasons to think that more went on that day in Dealey Plaza than we have been told about.

Too many unanswered questions and the answers given by the Warren Commission (which was run by Republicans) weren't satisfactory. The only guy who had the answers, Lee Harvey Oswald, was killed before he was ever interrogated. The guy that killed him also ended up dead in short order. The whole thing smelled fishy from the beginning. Why was LBJ in Dallas (how often are the President and Vice President at the same occasion?)? The Warren commission came to their conclusions in less than half the time it took to investigate the Space Shuttle disasters...with much less evidence. Also the assassinations of JFK and RFK were the last chance that the conservatives had to change the direction of the country by killing just one guy Sirhan Sirhan was brainwashed by the CIA and still doesn't know why he killed RFK. So there's another conspiracy theory.

It's not just JFK, although he is the only president whose assassination is the subject of a credible conspiracy theory. There are dozens of other plausible theories, including those surrounding the events of 9/11. Just do a web-search.

The route he was suppose to travel was changed at the last minute by Lyndon Johnson guards, also mr.Johnson kept on docking his head as if he was expecting a hit.The day after Kennedy was killed the decision to stop Americas involment in the vietnam war ,was REVERSED!President Kennedy had also called for the reurn of Americas currency to the gold standart, and the dismantling of the federal reserve system! This was a man that loved and cared deeply about the United States, and he was assassinated accordingly to trusted sources by his own goverment! Kennedy was most loved, my father was a Puertorican nationalist and with all his beliefs on wanting independence from the U.S.A. he too liked and respected president Kennedy.

Do to the confusion, the odd details, and the like.
There is ONE thing that has always struck me as very odd: the next time that anyone has access to extended tape of Osward, pay extra close attention to his behavior while being marched around the Pollice Station. He keeps indicating that he's been denied counsel, but maintains a certain amour of "calm"---considering. When the report fires the question at him: "Did you kill President Kennedy", he seems slightly confused, then responds to the effect of "I haven't been charged with that--I'm here because they believe I kill officer Tippet." When the reporter corrects him, he seems shocked--stunded--with a "deer-in-the-headlights" look as if he was the ONLY on in the room that didn't fully realize why he was there.
I'ts just an observation. But his behavior after that doesn't match his earlier attitude.
And then, he was dead.

Because the Mafia was colluding with the CIA already because of Castro and the powers-that-be of the time considered the Kennedys too much of a threat. There are conspiracy theories because there actually was a conspiracy to kill JFK

Conspiracy theorists are busy with much more than that. That's a big one, but this stuff goes back a long ways. World War II is what I think of as the beginning of the modern age of conspiracy theories. You can speculate on Lincoln and such, but WWII is the defining issue of the modern and current era. The bombing of Pearl Harbor is one. Without that, we (USA) wouldn't have committed our forces to eradicate global fascism. Not that it was eradicated, by any means. But nevertheless, something was settled by WWII, at least for a while, and then the Cold War, Korean War, VietNam War...

Large populations aren't easy to control without a system of warlords; China was a nation of warlords in its various regions until Communism came along and "united" them. The value of this was not lost on the West and "we" went our merry way and let the oppression control that segment of the world.

Same is true with the Middle East, only now with radical Islam and the issue of the establishment of Israel things seem to be unraveling. "We" don't seem to have "our" insiders there, having moved on, ourselves, to modernity.

The tribes of the MidEast were on the routes to the East when early trade was being established. The sea routes were seen as an alternative to passing through these territories. (The Silk Road being too risky, too slow and too costly.)

Then came the discovery of oil and the building of the Suez Canal, and the Panama Canal.

But, I digress. (It all runs deep.) Hey, who did Jacqueline Kennedy marry afterwards, and WHY. (Shipping magnate what's-his-name Onassis, who shipped arms for both the Allies and the Nazis.)

They got better at covering them up after JFK. And there are many more suspected but JFK was loved so he drew a great deal of attention. Still miss that guy and I was only 4-5 when it happened. Peace.

There're conspircay theories about nearly everything...it's just that the JFK assassination gets more attention because it was such a sudden and traumatic event..
