Hope it doesn't. Mani Ratnam movies are good dunno y ppl dun like em(Roza,Yuva comes in mind) Guru has a gud star cast not sure abt da story line but will watch out for it!

Guru is a forthcoming Hindi film to be directed by Mani Ratnam. It stars Abhishek Bachchan opposite Aishwarya Rai and Madhavan opposite Vidya Balan in pivotal roles. The movie also stars Mallika Sherawat in a cameo which plays a significant part in the narrative of the film and Mithun Chakraborty in a supporting role. The movie will also be dubbed in Tamil and Telugu. The film's score and soundtrack will be composed by A.R. Rahman, an acclaimed composer who has provided music for all of Ratnam's movies since his debut in the film Roja. According to Gulzar, the lyricist of the film, the music in the film will be very different. Cinematography for the movie is handled by Rajiv Menon, who has worked with Mani Ratnam previously as cinematographer in the film Bombay. The movie has been said to be a matured love story. Shooting for the film began in Turkey and Bagalkot, Karnataka, and has now shifted to Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The film is slated for a November 2006 release. According to recent reports, the film is set in the 1960s [1]. It is also said that Abhishek Bachchan holds the role of a soldier in the 1857 mutiny in the film [2]. Other reports also state that the film is based on the life of India's biggest textile tycoon, Dhirubhai Ambani [3]. Ratnam is said to start his next project with Aamir Khan after this film.
