so fears that Peyton Manning is preventing his assention to the echelons of football greatness? You have to consider that before the Steelers beat the Colts in the playoffs, Ben was a nobody other than his undefeated record the year before.

I personally believe, that, very soon, it's going to become apparent that 2003 was a great year for QBs. It seems perfectly plausible that all four QBs selected in the first round will have very successful careers. Roethlesberger, naturally, has a head start over the other three, and Losman and Rivers are behind for their own reasons(poor team and Brees respectively), but I wouldn't compare any of them to anyone just yet. Roethlesberger has mainly achieved on the backs of his teammates, and only last season in the playoffs did he start to take a greater responsibility for winning. It remains to be seen in whose company he belongs, but it seems certain he'll at least be a "good" QB..

Ben is just another gear in an amazing offense. His numbers are not spectacular. Hell, his numbers aren't even GOOD. He just does what needs to be done. The reason that the Steelers made their Superbowl run is because of the Defense. The only reason that the Steelers beat the Colts, is because someone allowed themselves to get tackled by a QB (Ben).

As for Peyton. He has 3 of the best recievers in the league. Mike Vick would be considered the elite QB at this time if he had those recievers.

Ben's got all the skills needed plus he has a great team around him. Manning should do well to watch Ben to see how a good QB responds to pressure, instead of pointing fingers like he did after the Steelers manhandled him in the play-offs. He(Manning) has got the rep of "Choker" & it's well deserved. During the reg season, he re-writes the record book, then come the play-offs, he goes down like a cheap whore. Ben's only been in the league 2yrs & has put up some great #'s. An AFC championship & a Super Bowl title, not too bad. What's Peyton won?

Ben will become a great quarterback no doubt. He got a great team, Hine Ward as a WR, and he got talent. He already won a super bowl and I believe he will go far. If an underdog ever rise to fame, it is mostly likely to be big. I mean look at Tom Brady. 6th round pick. He has already won like 3 superbowls. As long as Ben doesn't kill himself, he gonna become a quarterback of his era.

Goat face Manning is a choker, just like the rest of the Manning's. Ben has already accomplished something that he can only dream of, winning the Super Bowl baby! GO STEELERS!

That depends on what you call a QB of his ERA he won't be a Elway, Favre, Marino, Manning, but he is a Kelly, Sims, Rypin, Mcnair which is still pretty awsome.

Ben is a good QB but no way will he be considered one of the greats, he does what he's asked to do and he does it well.
