Copyrights is a good idea but I dont think u can do anything like registering it or anything to show that its your own thing.

I am also a song writer and wow - ask me how difficult it is to get a break!!!!

Cant you get an appointment and meet some singers and ask for their opinion on your lyrics??? In that way, if they feel its good, they will take it from there on.

Also you can go to a studio and check with them if its workable. BUT that would mean you will be providing the music for the song - which means, once u find the singer - singer will have to like the song plus your music.

Aim big. Dont be scared. Take the yellow pages. Find out what the biggest music studios are. Find out who works with Javed Aktar and Sameer. Dress well, take a deep breath and go and meet them. Show them your songs and ask them for their opinions and say that you are just starting out and dont be ashamed to ask for help.

If it fails, dont get disheartned. Every closed opportunity, opens a door for another.

Good luck to you my friend!

Thush
