I love baseball because I grew up playing it. Also, baseball is usually associated with family and food, some of my other favorite things.

It's relaxing and I used to watch with my dad when I was a kid. Like to hear the announcers and I love the history and the great moments.
And the game is never over til the last out. And I love ball park food and the smells. The best part is when you go to a game, and you walk into the open part of the stadium and see the field spread out in front of you. Awesome!

Baseball is the only best sport I have ever played. My dad loved it very much too. I am now in a division 1 league and have been playing baseball for 8 years! I am also best at it too. Most of my classmates aren't as good. One other thing that makes it exciting is no time limit, plus you'd would never know what would happen next. I once watced this basebal game, 1 team had 5 points, the other had 8. I was wanting the team with 5 points to win, and plus it was the last inning, and the 5 point team was the home team. All of a sudden, the first 2 batters hit doubles, making a run, and one made an infield single, and it kept on going till they got 9 points. It was such a close game! It kept on coming on the sports headlines!
Baseball is america's favorite pastime. Going to a real baseball game is a great experience, and the food is awesome, as many people say. The in-between inning activites they do is rely fun, and u get to catch the foul balls and homers. There r all sorts of stuff! It is an amazing sport!

I was born and raised in a baseball town. The local high school has won quite a few state championships. We used to have a minor league team associated with the Oakland A's. The American Legion Baseball World Series was held here in 1973. My alma matre hosts the NAIA World Series each year. We have won it 14 times. My son played on the Little League All Star team this year. Besides there are so many possibilities of what can happen in a game with every pitch.

I love baseball not only because I played it growing up, it is also a thinking game. It is a true strategic game. You can't plan a baseball game like a football game. Baseball is one of a few games with no time limit. Until you get 3 outs per inning/27 outs a game, you have all the time in the world to make up any run differential. You also don't have to be 7 feet tall or weigh 300 lbs to play the game.

Going to a baseball game is the best feeling in the world. Cheering for your favorite team among thousands of other people is just invigorating! Plus the food is awesome.

It has a great tradition. It has a great history. It is exciting. There are great stories within the game. I also associate baseball with summer, my favorite season. I used to go to 4th of July games and watch fireworks. I loved it.

When my son was little,I would plan a marathon ironing time when the Orioles were on the west coast. Or course he couldn't stay up to see them,so I would iron and watch the game. At breakfast the next morning i would tell him about the game. Made me a cool mother. Somewhere along the line I became a fan.Brooks,Boog,Palmer,Cy Young winners gold gloves every year,Ripken. My son is grown now,but not the Orioles! It really hurts to see them now,but I remember when, I'M STILL A FAN1 LOVE THE GAME1 There is always a chance you'ii find another Ripken.

You gave a good answer and I think GoldnHart said it best, but I'll give it a shot.
I fell in love with baseball from the age of about 5.
Ever since I can remember, my dad watched it on TV every summer! If he wasn't watching, he was sitting out in his truck listening to the game on the radio. I would go out there sometimes and sit with him.
My dad taught all of his 6 daughters to play, so it reminds me of the time we spent in the front yard practicing, and him yelling for us NOT to " stand like a girl " or NOT to " take our eye off the ball while we're running " .
He taught us how to play like men, actually.
Yeah, seriously, we're that good - better than my brother! : )

I don't know, very good question. I started liking it just recently(couple years ago maybe?) they were showing the Cubs games for the majority of that starting season on whatever channel that was, then they made it to the pennant when Moises Alou got pissed because that guy in the stands grabbed the fly foul before he could catch it. Good times!

I love it cause it is a great game and the fact that there is practically a game every single day unlike other sports.
