I work the graveyard shift and I have the same problem. My daughter is almost six months old and she is teething too. Also, I get home about 7:30am and she is awake waiting for me to feed and play with her. I know that it is not the best advice but here is what I do.

When I get home I feed her and play with her hor about an hour, by then she is ready for a morning nap. She sleeps from about 9:00 - 12:00 and that gives me a three hour stretch. Later when my husband comes home he will watch her or we will all take our afternoon nap together which is about 2 hours then I put her to bed at 8:00 and can sleep for another two hour until it is time for me to go to work. At first I felt bad but the Doc told me that she is supposed to be getting that much sleep at this age so I should not feel bad. Also, teething doesnt last forever and once the first tooth breaks she will want to sleep all the time anyway. So I hope this helped a little and if you have any other questions ask away!

I work a normal shift, and I didn't get much sleep when my daughter was teething.

You're not alone ;)

The good news is that they have way less baby teeth then we have as adults :)

for teething baby use those theether toys that are filled with water, then put it in fridge till it gets cool & give to baby. or teething gel. (I used the "oragel" that is like q-tips) you hold it upside down then break off the stripped end then wait ten seconds. I found it was much easier to apply than regular teething gel. if the teething is really bad and baby has headache then give tylenol.(ask baby's dr. the proper dosage for your baby). I have this d.v.d for baby's it's called "mozart and friends sleepytime" by Baby Genius. it works wonders on my son, it has all these bright colors and classical music.

good luck!!

If possible change shift. Get somebody to look after your child; may be for few hours. Take leave if you can . This problem will not last foeever.

Start feeding your baby formula! Or pump your milk. Good luck!
