Like the suffering in Lebanon and Israel. It is bad for people to die, be they Israeli of Lebanese. It is good to have peace. Maybe I am naive, but what is actually achieved in the end and the killing fields are scattered with dead bodies?

You are right it is bad for people to die. Tragedy is that we rejoice at loss of life and property of opponents. Religion always teaches love and peace. There is atmosphere of mistrust. We do not wish to look at root causes honestly. United Nations resolution are kept aside. We fail to develop universal brotherhood. We need to research causes of unrest. Remember destruction of moral values in the society will destroy us all. Every body in t he in the world is facing problems in the shape of crime, unrest and extremism. It is problem of all of us.

I believe it is not simply a matter of knowing what's good or bad, but rather a solemn vow by specific people to hate the other. If this strikes you as incomplete, maybe it will help that you read chapters of the old testament bible and there you'll find out that the israelites and the lebanese(the canaanites of ancient times) have been on each other's throats even before the time of Jesus.

Simple. Write a number '6', reads like a '6' to you. Go to the other end and try reading the SAME number. It reads '9'! Just to illustrate that we can be all looking at the SAME thing but depending on which angle/view we looked from, we can interpret it very DIFFERENTLY. What we need to do is to see from another's (person) angles/views to understand better.

We cant have peace because we were born with different ideologies and beliefs in religion, in politics, even in the way our parents brought us...from the very start we were born we just reacted to these things, because our environment made us what we are now.... indifferent or different... you choose..
