"If you are worried about tasks for the next day, make a written list and place it near your bed - this will 'free' your mind from worrying about tasks you 'need to remember' and thus reduce your stress level about sleeping."

You won't fall asleep tomorrow but you do need to try to relax. Your going to be so hyper and nervous that you want get sleepy. Try music. Put some earphones on and try to relax. Most don't sleep the night before. I hope you have a good day and don't be nervous. Cause I promise things will go well. I use to get so nervous I would stay in the bathroom the week before school started. Things always went well. Everyone is nervous. Just remember that and relax.
☺

that always happens to me the night before i have to wake up early. if you have any benydryl or something like it (alergy med) the recomeded dose has me knocked out in 20 mins usually. and you should probly turn off you computer so the light doesnt keep you awake. but if it's the first day you probly won't miss much besides stupid class rules and outlines of the class. i start next week. oh goodie! :(

well your definitely not going to fall asleep while you are sitting up on here. go take a hot bath if your parents don't mind or a hot shower or something drink a glass of warm milk or something and lay down and close your eyes and stop thinking about it, what's to be so nervous about anyways? it's just school, no biggie

I think you should turn off all the lights and the computer. Don't listen to music, that will only make you more hyper and jittery! Just lay in bed and close your eyes. Sleep will come eventually. =)

I remember I used to be that way! Just relax, I'm sure you are not the only one that has butterflies! Calm down and try to go to sleep!

Hi! Try counting backwards from 100. If you reach 0, do it all over again. I've tried this at times when I felt wide awake. This works.Good luck!
