Don't do it!
If your labor starts on it's own (as opposed to being induced) then your body will probably clean itself out all on it's own. (Mine did all three times.) I NEVER pooped during pushing. If you DO have an accident while pushing, it's not a big deal. The nurse will clean it up and no one will mention it.
Also, don't avoid eating before labor/in early labor. You need your strength and energy! Eat lightly - jello, clear broths, juices, Gatorade, grapes, protein shakes or bars, popsicles, etc. You need ENERGY for the work of labor!

Don't take anything. I have had two children and during the pushing that is the last area that anyone is worrying about. It is better to just eat healthy before going into labor so that you are not constipated which can cause more pain with the contractions. If you chose to take something be sure to talk to your Dr. to see what is safe for you unborn baby. Good luck being a Mom it is the best job ever.

In good hospitals, they actually offer you an enema. I have never been offered any kind of pill. Not only that - but laxatives will give you a diarrhea effect afterwards.
It is rare, that women poop during labor. I've given birth 5 times, and never have. OK - knock on wood! But if you push right, you shouldn't have a problem. And if it does happen, it's still a natural thing and it's also the last thing anyone will be thinking about when a beautiful baby is born.

NO! Please don't. During labor that didn't happen to me at all. You need all of your fluids especially during the workout of labor, and a laxative will not only rob you of those fluids, but they will also produce cramps that will only make your labor more painful. Also, laxatives can send stomache acid through your system, you definetely don't want painful stomache acid irritating you after a vaginal birth.
If for some reason it does happen, the nurse or doctor will clean it away quickly and it will not be a big deal. If you are still worried, I would suggest in the days prior to your due date, eating easily digestible and healthy foods.

unless it was your doctor that told you to do it, don't . I never went to the bathroom during labor, and I have had three children. If you do go it is not like it is a big deal . I hate to tell you, but nothing about labor is glamorous, and poop is the last thing you need to worry about
plus are you sure that the pill is safe for the baby?

don't worry about those embarrassing moment during labor, honestly the docs and nurses are used to it, and when the time comes, that is going to be the last thing you are going to be worried about. you will be fine without it. do do any more that you truly need to. good luck

That's really not a good idea.
Don't worry if you poo on the table during delivery. The nurses and doctors have seen it a million times. You won't be the first or the last person it will have happened to.

Once your labor starts have lots a juices, warm water or milk . it will help unless your pushing stage is only an hour away (unlikely) :)
I didnt eat much, but had only juices and broth because I was so afraid to go to the toilet after the birth. I didnt need to go even two days after the birth.

I hear that usually the body cleanses itself by having frequent soft bowel movements before labor. If you are really worried about it you could give yourself an enema before you go to the doctor. But i wouldnt worry about it. My friend recommended not eating anything if you feel you are going into labor and to wait until the baby is born.
