Why do so many young Brits hate people in the United States?

Yes it's true - very true. There is a whole generation of thinking Europeans who really hate what America has become. There are more young Brits who have respect for the chinese than Americans

The hatred is not centered on a power related historical context. Most young Brits don't care about any sense of historical empire. Rather it's about being grounded and educated and understanding what is right for the long term. It's about a robust media and a questioning mind. Americans just don't get it these days.

those people's brains were conditioned by some fanatics belonging to other countries, to hate not only the USA but also their mother country, the UK. i feel if you are citizen of the UK it is your moral duty not to destroy your country and your fellow beings. if you disagree with the foreign policies of your government there are several ways to express your angry but not resorting to terrorist activities.

The Brits hate people in US for American people [except Red Indians] are also same old Brits but with a very high standard of living and opulent wealth. The Brits were rich too long ago but went poorer and poorer day by day as there colonies which the Brits exploited to their own benefit, got themselves independent. The Brits hate Americans for the wealth and opulence the Americans enjoy. This is the basic reason. Other reason is the Americans dominance in politics and say in World affairs for previously it was the say of Brits that prevailed in the world.

Well, being as blessed as we are to live in the United States, we are spoiled. Americans are raised with democracy, freedom, opportunity and support. And as any child who grows up with wealth, we expect the best of things. Think about it, The world focuses on America. They know everything about us. But, what do you really know about them? Do you know how the English pound translates to US currency? Do most people realize that American movie companies alter the appearance of English actors to make them suit American ideals? (Look into the English vs. Us poster of Kiera Knightly for "King Arthur" her cup size is at least a size or so bigger in the US poster. The English poster is her accurate size.) I LOVE AMERICA, but we may not be thought of so badly if we paid more attention to other countries other than ourselves.

The British don't hate US at all, (i guess, I'm not British i am Russian from origin) it is only because the muslim community in UK is becoming majority in EU/British big city's like London, Barcelona, Paris etc.. so they express they hate to US, with all pleasure they have.The most hate to US based on jealousy, the US propaganda machine did one helluva job back in the 80's with all this movies like TopGun etc. So this silly, naive "sand people" came from they cave to big city's of Europe, UK and US they
grown up now and they are very frustrated they also wanted theyr own "Muslim-Rocky, Muslim-TopGun etc. but they will never have that, so they deeply understand it, and it's very pain full for them to accept the fact of being biggest failure and live with that, all those glorious "baby" dreams will never come true. So they express they hate to US, for the promised (in theyr eyes) dreams which came never to live.
So point is that the hate don't come from European, Russians, British but it's coming from the Muslims living in that country's.

P.S. Most of them do not have the idea what AID and Aids means, so every time US dropping food from the helicopters, they think US poisoning them with Aids, so they go to the nearest US embassy and throw stones...
