There are 2 forces in play :-
1. the gravitational force which tends to pull both bodies towards each other , and
2 the centrifrugal force due to moons revolution around the earth, which counters/balances the gravitational pull.
due to this balance moon neither crashes into or flies away from earth, and simmilarly for earth and sun

Gravitation. It is not magnetism as claimed by another responder -- the moon is not magnetic. As for the reason for its existence, nobody knows -- it's been the subject of intense study for decades.

It's called gravity. Gravity is caused by the presence of mass (sun, Earth, moon, etc.,.)

Nope it's call magnetism As the composition of the materials at the cores changes the draw together lessens.

Centripital, the distance from our sun, along with our orbital velocity and Earths mass holds us in orbit.

gravity? centripetal, then.

and there's a pseudo-force that is centrifugal, too: inertia.
