i only had the patch on for 4 days and ended up in the hospital with a blood clot

I heard the patch can be dangerous for some women. The pill may be better. I know this doesn't answer your question, but I thought this was valuable information since quite a few women have had problems with the patch. They discussed it on the nightly news in my town a few months ago.
