My 5-year-old has a Gamecube...lots of kids games and I think it is a bit less complex. She has been playing it for a year now and her hand/eye coordination as well as her ability to problem solve by observation is a bit better than it was. She has a really good Winnie the Pooh game that requires problem solving as well as remembering what the main goal was. I wish I could find more games that had these traits.
She also has an InteracTV by Mattel but the thing really is a pain...the games are really geared to her age group and it is supposed to be very simple but it is very slow to respond and she ends up very frustrated with it.

DDR..aka Dance Dance Revolution. It's available on the X-box, Playstation, & Playstation 2...it's a dancing game that will help with eye-foot cordination with the floor pad and hand-eye cordination with the controller itself. I don't know if that helps any, but it is a pretty awesome game without any violence + exercise & mood boosting music! Btw, it's in some arcades too, but I would suggest the at home version for a 6 yr. old.

At age 2 they were given a psone. you'll get maximum any recreation gadget on the community pawn shops for airborne dirt and dust less costly! no longer in uncomplicated words were both my daughters on a 2d grade think about studying and math even as they began Kindergarten, their hand eye coordination grow to be a lot more effective efficient than different childrens their age. And now that my daughter is 11 y/o she knows more effective about pcs than I do! (She helped me set up my digital mail account) as long as your newborn is supervised and is no longer playing video games she shouldn't, and as long as she isn't sitting there gaining weight, enable her at it! cases are replacing and childrens opt to entice close the thanks to manage the recent technologies. merely save administration!!! i visit't rigidity that adequate! once you placed a time for her to play, do not enable her communicate you into 5 more effective minutes. Take the controllers from the console and placed them away. (Ours stayed in a locked cupboard) and pc regulations are even stricter.. I actually have the in uncomplicated words password to the computing device and it truly is performed on the kitchen table, or the front room.. the room i'm in on the time. Well if you are looking for a game system, I would go with a game cube because it targets younger children. If not a game system, I suggest any board games made by the people who created cranium, such as Hullabaloo because they promote creativity.

game boy or psp, they are portable and they have a variety of games for kids. If I were you I would get a PlayStation 2 or x box, games are cheap and the unit is not expensive any more
