Yes, several families living in Texas escaped. I have heard many stories about their journeys. Read the book Man's Search for Meaning, writing by a physicristicts in Auschwitz. It's a short book but it is about the difference in the people who had something to live and that is what kept them alive. AWESOME BOOK.
