No way. It's hard enough for football players to do it, and they only play 16 games. Baseball plays 162! And the record for most wins is 116, I believe. So that's still 46 losses, which is awesome, but still not even close.
The only scenario I can imagine where that could happen is if sometime in the future, there was only an extremely small pool of talented players in the league, and one team got a hold of all of them somehow. You would need a situation like the 1992 U.S. Men's Olympic basketball team. (Every great player in the world was on the Americans' team, so they won every game by an unbelievable margin.) But still, even such an awesome team would be bound to have an off day every now and then. Even the Yankees lose, if ya know what I mean.
There will probably be a 130-game winner eventually, but probably not too much more than that.

Didn't you answer your own question? It's practically impossible to win 162 games in a row. Just think about it: no NFL team has ever gone 16-0. The longest streak in the NBA is 33 straight. Of course, 162-0 would be the greatest achievement in sports history, especially when 122-40 is almost impossible to attain.
Now, a better question might be:
Will any pitcher (with 20 or more victories in a season) ever go undefeated? I think this is very unlikely, but has at least a semblance of a chance of happening.

Baseball has been around longer than a lifetime already, and
every MLB team has had at least 40 losses. That's not even
close to undefeated. No team has gone even a month undefeated. 1916 Giants won 26 consecutive games.
So your question is easily answered no.

The Chicago Cubs had the best record ever at 116-36 - The 2001 Seattle Mariners were 116-46.. No ML team will ever go undefeated so long as they play 162 games..

I dont think it can happen because baseball has to do much with luck. Even if you assembled the best team possible they would lose some games. Just like there will never be an undefeated NBA team.

This will never ever happen as long as anyone lives. There are 156 games in a season. Far too many to go undefeated. It was the 1998 Yankees who had the best record in the history of the league going 114-48 in the regular season, and 11-2 in the post season.

The major league record for wins is 116, I believe, held by the Cubs and Mariners. A couple of NBA teams have gone past 70 wins, but that's a far cry from 82-0.

I think it is impossible as well. But would that be something. Even just start the season 20 and 0 or something like that would be cool.
What's the longest undefeated streak to start a season? Does anybody know?

It will never happen throughout an entire season. The season is just too long. (160 games) and none of them matter until september. also, like any professional league, the talent is too spread out. Technically though, its very possible for a team to go...9-0 until mid-april and the rest of the season gets cancelled because of a strike.
ESPN ranked the 98 yankees the team of the decade, ahead of any other team in sports.
