EVERY GAME HAS ITS UNIQUE FEATURES.
AS PER CRICKET CONDITIONS, ONE MUST HAVE IMMENSE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL FITNESS.
ITS NOT SO EASY TO STAND TWO FULL DAYS UNDER THE SUN AND FACE A FIERY DELIVERY STEAMING TOWARDS YOUR NOSE AT 150KMPH..
YOU SHOULD TUG DOWN WITH IN A FRACTION OF THE SECCOND.
OTHERWISE, ONE OF YOUR EYE WILL GO WITH WIND.
ALL OTHER OPERATIONS LIKE BOWLING, FIELDING TOO NEED BRISKNESS.
DONT CALL CRICKET AS LAZY GAME.

Batting is incredibly stressful physically as well as mentally. You need to keep your muscles moving constantly to prevent cramping, whilst also being able to suddenly explode into powerful or well timed shots.
Bowling is not as stressful in terms of change of muscular use, but instead requires even more endurance ability to perform the same action over and over again, some times in spells lasting upwards of an hour. It is also incredibly stressful upon joints and tendons, which often suffer from repetetive strain injuries.
Wicket-Keeping is perhaps the most demanding task upon the cricket field. Apart from the impact of extremely fast deliveries upon the hands, the action of crouching and rising constantly every delivery, every over for the whole innings is hard enough in itself (try crouching and rising just 20 times in a row and see how your legs feel). On top of this, if the ball is played into the field the wicket keeper is required to run up to the stumps to receive the ball back from the fielder.
As for the other fielders, yes it is slightly less tressful, however if you consider as others have said, standing, often in hot weather for hours on end is difficult enough, but then add that you are actually never standing still but patrolling back and forth, moving in with the bowler as he prepares to bowl, concentrating in case the ball comes your way, and being prepared to explode at any moment in a sprint to chase the ball or attempt a catch and all of a sudden cricket doesn't seem so lazy. In fact it is probably one of the most mentally and physically demanding sports of all.

where other sports demand only a body load 2 only 90-120 min. cricket is normally played 4 abt 8 hrs(ODI). and if u talk abt test , it is a heavy toll on players bcoz it is played for 5 days. pressure remains for 5 days. so cricket is more active game than others. it neither increases nor decreases body fitness. all sports (outdoor) require equal body fitness.

Anyone who has even just fielded 50 overs will tell you it is tiring never mind test-cricket in which games last 5 day's long. Even the umpires who just use their eyes get tired when doing 50 over matches. I wouldn't say that it is a physical sport but i can promise you that you will get tired playing cricket.
