Do you think dogs are better than cats or vice versa?
Are they maintainable?

We have 5 dogs, and 3 cats. I personally like dogs more. They have more personality and loyalty than cats. Cats are too independent and generally keep to themselves. A cat won't save your life, a dog will.

The most pets I have owned at one time have been:
3 dogs ( 2 corgis and a dalmation cross)
3 cats ( 2 in the house and 1 in the barn)
and 3 horses, all palomino geldings.
I'd take the horses over cats/dogs any day!!!

I have a cat. I really like dogs too but cats are a little bit easier to take care of. With cats you can just change a litter box, but a dog you can't. You have to take them outside at 2:00 in the morning. That's not fun.

I love cats, used to have max of 13 cats when i was a teenager living in bungalow in the subburb, now i got my own place and can only afford one cat. Persion type like the lion colour. The problem of living in a highrise apartment is that cat dont get to see grass at all. Thats why he always get sick, no catnips. Now my cat is dead. I think he is. One day he manages to slip out fr the main door and gone missing. Dunno whether people stole or kidnap him. But there were this old saying, that when a cat is very sick or going to die, they will not do it in front of the master, they run away and hide and wait for the last breath. I miss my cat.

Cat.
On the plus side, a cat is low-maintenance in a single family residence (you know, a house).
On the minus side, a cat won't be a devoted friend and companion the way a dog would.

I have rats. :shrug:
I would love to have an intelligent loyal dog, but alas, I live in a townhome and I don't feel I have enough room for one. Someday if I ever get some land somewhere and a decent place I'd like to get a dog.
Not a small dog though; in my opinion, if a dog is so small it may as well say "meow".

I have a dog. I think they are easier to handle control key all of that.
Im biased though as well Im allergic to cats.
