Nope. Not for points at least.
I don't lie to give false answers, but sometimes I'll conjure up a dumb off-the-deep-end story to prove a counterpoint in a rather "unorthodoxed" manner, but I when I post it, I make it pretty apparent when it's mean't to be taken sarcastically. It's just up to the people reading it to catch onto it and I trust most people to have enough wit to tell a joke from something serious. If not, too bad. ;)
As for actual lying with the intent of getting 10 points, I really don't think it is possible to lie and get away with it too often, since chances are you will be caught if someone knows the real answer and then you won't get best answer anyway. So it would be pretty stupid to do that.
On the other hand, I do notice some posts where people will put down their experience "credentials" as their source when the answer they give is clearly wrong, so maybe it does work.
