I personally think that society overreacts to nudity and sex, but are really unfazed by extremely violent acts and images. But what do you think?

And if you think one is worst than the other explain why.

(For example, I think violence is worse to expose and exploit in our society and to younger children than sex. Because every person will supposedly be exposed to sex and sexuality once in their life, but violence is something that depicts painful, inhuman acts upon one another.)

Violence is worse. But the whole thing is a hypocrisy on the back of a hypocrisy, surrounded by hypocrisy, embedded with hypocrisy, laced with hypocrisy, that is dripping in hypocrisy. As much as people do not wish to admit it. Sex in America has the stain of shame due to sex laws and morals having Judea Christian roots. that is why anyone stepping outside the certain sexual bounderies are seen as freaks, perverts etc. When at one time nearly ALL sex outside of marriage was viewed as such. But during the 60s and early 70s sex started to get very free and loose. Then the right started gaining ground and clamping down. But in a two-faced way. Some areas of sex has gained ground(because of their political clout)while others have decreased because of the political outcry against it. Yet, sex is used to as a undertone to sell everything from burgers, gum, soda, shoes, glasses, beer and then some. And any girl past 15 who still has her virtue intact is looked upon as being unattractive and a loser because no one wants to have sex with her, as if the sex equals love. On TV and in the movies you can see sex implied all day. And in some instances even see the motions but not the penetration(that makes it slutty and dirty)but the bodies thrusting against eachother. You can have all the grunting and stuff, just don't let us see it. BUT, on TV and in the movies, I can see someone cut in two with saws, swords, battle axes, and then some. See them burned, crushed, beheaded, riddled with bullets. And if you don't see the blood splatter it was a lame kill scene. So, society thinks it is so much better for a 10yr old to see some guy getting his melon split by a Glock 9mm then to see a man sucking a woman's t*i*t, or seeing a woman full frontally nude. Maybe it would open too many worm cans before it is time for a 10yr old so see a fully naked woman but having him see some guy decapitate another with a sword to settle a matter is much better? Maybe we are saying it is better to learn to settle things with violence than to see the natural body. I don't know. the hypocrisy clouds it.

i think our society has no morals anymore, violence is part of life it will never go away. Violence and the threat of violence is the only thing keeping our planet from destruction. An odd paradox huh? Nudity and sex is a completely nature thing but i think our culture need to retain some manner of dignity and keep it off of public television where children can watch it. I dont think anything is wrong with it but it should only be available to those who want it. It doesnt' need to be advertised. But thats what you get when liberals and democrats get support....a moral-less america (and i dont mean christian morals cause im not christian)

Both a good and bad depending on the context. Violence is the defense of family is a good thing. Sex between those in love is a good thing. But when people do these things for impure reasons, or for momentary pleasure. That is when they become wrong.

sex is a natural function and not a violent act unless someones doing differant because of a mental problem or strage tastes but violent images innure the watcher to human suffering as the cartoonish presentation of said images detracts from the real impact of violance and or war

Sex is natural. Violence is natural. Its all just a part of the way of life. I mean, I may not like violence but you can't really stop it from happening completely. Humans can be very primal beings. They fight to stay alive.

That s because the emotional intelligence in newer generations has lowered (thanks to computers, media, life style, environment polution). In other words, people are now more insecure than ever, and that s why they got easily trriggered over sex, plus all the violence you see in TV, movies etc.

I think its ridiculous. The only reason sex is seen as worse (like in movie ratings) is because tight-asses get uncomfortable around it. I would rather have sex than beat someone up.
