Some do. I know a lot of guys who treat women well, but there are jerks out there too.

As a whole, I think that women have the upper hand in almost every area. I base that answer on my life experience.
So, I think that a more appropriate question might be, "Why do some women think that they are not treated fairly?"
On an individual basis, the treatment of women must vary, but insofar as society goes (in the US) they are treated more than fairly to the point of discrimination towards men.

If men treat women fairly, we would have had a woman President a long time ago. This is pertains to our good ol' country USA

Not often, according to American cultural studies 20% of the men treat woman fairly.
But as far me i treat womans fair enough and i get equal respect from the. We have almost 30 ladies working in our office and i am nice to them and they are ok with me.

I think it is less an issue between men and women or between races or religions but it is in our nature as humans to form some sort of hierarchy...i.e...Alpha is the top dog, Omega is the bottom...nobody wants to be the bottom so they make sure (mostly on a subconcious level) that they keep someone between themselves and the bottom. Usually the way that this works is that because the man sees himself as bigger and more important he tries to put the smaller one under him...which usually tends to be the woman...or someone of a different race, religion, or educational level...anything will do if the person is bent on making sure that they aren't on the bottom.

Meaning of God without pure LOVE is meaningless. It is only through a mother, a woman , inside whom the life comes into being.When I got married 35 years back I knew it well that it is only through her I will feel the charisma called life. She became pregnant and tears of love filled me up. I felt she carried the temple of God inside HER. I found an eternal sense of belonging to this planet. I stopped every kind of external worship through religious modes.Looked at Her and felt immortal.
I always offered Her the first morsel of food i ever ate and did what i could to make her feel that nothing belonged to me . Every thing i earned I put into her hands and never questioned what she did with the money. The LOVE I received from HER can not be measured. HER love till date is much more stronger than mine.God gave us so much that what we have is more than what we need in materialistic values.Even now I wake up at nights ,look at her face and tears of love and devotion fill me up. It is not that we never had difference of opinion or we never fought in life. Those quarrels and fights were merely circumstantial adjustments in the day to day life.I have no heavens I want to reach other then the desire to be with her through these dust particles which will absorb the woman I loved as representative of my God and source of eternal love-bond
holding the religious scriptures and talking of a god have led to divisions of mankind and every religious enthusiast has a kind of hatred for the other religion. Terrorists are an out come this attitude. If Jesus is a source of inspiration for the christians then Mohhamad is a source of inspiration for the Muslims.So are the other religions in the world.
On a practicle level and spiritual level recognition of this reality is paramount. Just thinking and meditating about their seperate religions will lead to extinctionof mankind. My Inspiration through my wife has put me deep inside the womb of this planet and a new prospective of a real God emerged.I am not dividing the world and have no hatred but a message of LOVE and source which is possible for every one to realize. My wife is a woman like this earth from whom i recived the meaning of LOve and life.Christians can keep their bibles and Muslims can keep their Quaraan . Without love and sense of belonging to this planet all is over.

when it comes to salary (most of the time) women are treated like they're slaves. we get paid less (usually) for doing the same damn job. in this case, no...women are NOT treated fairly.
I'm sure in other cases the answer would be the same...
