Sachin has actually not been in form since the start of 2005 especially in test cricket (590 runs in 12 tests).
He should actually take a longer rest like the one Kumble took in 2002-03. A good rest can only help revive a tired body, and bring a second wind to long careers like that of these stellar athletes.
Without such a rest I am afraid Sachin's career may be over within a year.

For a batsman like Sachin it is just one or two matches and you can find the dashing Sachin. It will be difficult to find another Sachin at least in next 100 years.I Pray God to give him health to break all the possible records in Cricket.

Yeah, it would be some difficult for saching to get back in form after five months. But he soon will get back his position as he is a hard working guy. Better luck for Sachin.

Sachin is a class player. Advancing age with fitness problems makes his return to original form difficult. I am not worried about him but I thank God he gave us Sachin and good cricket to watch.

No Doubt that he has plenty of experience and one of a kind skillset. But, as far as playing more cricket is concerned, he should walk away while he is still on the top. Money is no object for him at this point in life. He has broken enough records. He has a thirst to establish records in this game, that future/current cricketers will have a hard time to beat. He also knows that he is guaranteed a position back in the team because of the huge fanbase he has and business implications it may have on the ICC, if he is let go.
He has not been on top of his game recently. I guess that he needs to take a hint. So the question should be whether Sachin should retire while he is still on top of the game!!

sachin will play well only in patches during d first 2-3 series. but then he will b back 2 his original flow then . i mean it will b all sachin again in d world cup. but b4 WC he will take some time 2 adjust. but his class is technique is so supreme that he will keep playing well but in patches and he will b able 2 maintain an average of 40-45 also.

Master blaster just need few international games...and ppl, don't expect him to play as he was playing 1990's..he has given what ever he had in him...and whatever we gets from now is a big bonus."There is no replacment for Sachin Tendulkar"
