Not all hybrids are made alike... If the Saturn Vue Green Line is anything like the "we just slapped a hybrid label on it to say we have a hybrid" GMC Sierra/Chevy Silverado pickups, then don't expect much in the way of fuel savings. But at least the BAS on the Vue might give you some electric propulsion/assist, as opposed to the pickups that have no assistance from the electric motor other than restarting. (In comparison to the hybrid systems in the Toyota/Lexus and Ford/Mercury hybrids, where the vehicle can go for short distances on electric propulsion alone...)

There's always the question about a first model year of a vehicle (in the case of the Saturn Vue Green Line), as well...
You may want to ask other hybrid owners and prospective Saturn Vue Green Line owners over at:

The Vue hybrid is a great vehicle. Despite being cheaper than the Escape hybrid it gets better highway fuel economy. Compare both at http://www.all-about-car-selection.com/hybrid-suv.html

Is it worth the extra money?
Look at the mileage on the regular model and compare hybrid vs. not hybrid model.
Cost analysis says it will take 5 years to pay you back the difference in the two models.

Hybrid will take a growing percentage of the market each year. This technology will improve and will be made available by every car manufacturer. read more at http://www.wiseorb.com/articles-review-269-T-Chevy_Silverado_Hybrid_Pickup_Truck.htm

My wife and I have a Toyota Prius and love it. It doesn't get quite as good mileage as we had hoped and there seems to be an operation difference due to temperature so in the winter it's a little less efficient. Other than that we love it and hope to get another one.

Too expensive, too complicated, too low resale value, too low power. Buy a used one before you waste money on a new one.
