I hope to live to see Barack Obama get in as President. He is part black and white I believe. He is the Democratic senator from Illinois and is a great person.

Yes. Here is my theory.
Black < 25 years
Independent >50 years
Woman >100 years
Not that a woman can't be president, I don't see a woman getting elected as president. I think the days of thinking that black people are 3/5 of a person are pretty much over...well pretty much.

i think the time has come for a black president. i would love to see that. it's about time we show the world how cultured we are. and personally i think a black president would clean up our country, be much more respected than previouse presidents and be a great representative to the US.

I think it'd be even better if the first black president, were female. That way, you'd not only have the first black president, but also, the first female president (anyone but Ms. Rice, however--me no like her).

Well if you have read a book in particular I think it is called what they don't tell us in history class...insists that we have had 4 US presidents that were bi-racial in our history...
..which really doesn't suprise me...just put it up there with several other facts that have been either deleted/omitted/changed..in our history...such as historical images of soldiers that were African American..but because of several factors...the artist...changed them to Caucasions soldiers...and I did learn that piece in history class ....
Good question...very thought provoking...

Condi Rice and Colin Powell -- either one could be a strong candidate. I'd vote for Powell if he ran. He's smart and cares about doing the right thing, even if it gets him in trouble.

wow! that would be really interesting. who knows? it's possible that it could happen. anything can happen nowadays. we might see Condoleeza Rice run against Hillary Clinton in 2008. that would be so exciting 2 watch.
