Black ALWAYS goes awesome with everyone! But just don't do too much black. For example, I think you should use some kind of black liquid liner on your top lid, and not so much the bottom lid. If you put too much eyeliner around the top and bottom, you end up getting that scary "racoon" look that a lot of girls have. But if you check out some of Angelina Jolie's "classy" looking pics where she has her top lid liner on thin from the inner corner of the eyelid to thick and a little extended at the outer corner, it can create an awesome effect for everyone. If you do wanna add a little drama to the lower lids, you can always lightly put a little mascara on the lower lashes, or use some black eyeshadow (or whatever dark color you are using) and just smear a small line about 1/3 of the way across you bottom eyelid just below the lashline, and add a light and shimmery eyeshadow the rest of the way across like the pro's do. But just remember - keep it really close to the lashes, and keep it reallllly thin! It's only to accent, not to take over!!! Or if you really wanna line the bottom, then use a pencil and line the inner rims of your bottom eyelid. Looks smokin', but just remember to check the corners of your eyes every so often for those little nasty goopy buildups and get rid of 'em! :) And make sure you put plenty of mascara on the top lashes, so they complete your look - combined with the thick liner, it'll make your lashes look plenty longer! And don't make them clumpy!!! But whatever you do, don't worry if you mess up the liner - you can always wet a q-tip, smoosh it, and use it to "refine" you mess up! Have fun and I hope i've helped ya somehow!

NorahJ's quite right, actually. A dark green or navy blue eye liner looks great with brown eyes. The contrast will bring out the colour, making them look rich and luminous.

As for black... it depends on what sort of look you're going for. If you want a more "painted" made-up look, a sharp line of black above the eye looks very dramatic, especially if you go easy on the eye shadow. Brown is better if you want to use a smudgy kohl pencil for a more gentle, subtle look.

I would use brown or dark brown eyeliner. Black tends to be harsh even on darker skins. I personally use dark brown.

Paris,

In applying makeup, and especially eye makeup, such as eye liner & eye shadow - what is most important to remember, is to contrast the color of your eye. In your case, since you have brown tones surrounding your face, I would actually go for blues and not blacks or brown. Why don't you try a blue/green eye liner?. Also, light blue eye shadow will make you look amazing!
Good luck!

It depends on how dramatic you want your look to be. Black eyeliner on very pale skin can be too dramatic for some. If you have strong features, it shouldn't be a problem. If your features are softer, it might make you look too harsh and made up.

No, I suggest dark brown, it looks much better. If you use black, then ONLY on your inner rims. You don't wanna look like a raccoon or Marilyn Manson.
