get a very large friend to portray a bouncer at the door. not a classic door man, yes get posters, if you go to movie rental places sometimes they sell their old posters fairly cheap. decorate with cd covers and such. you could have it outdoors i suppose or in a garage if you have one. or by a pool if there is one of those. get tons of soda and pizza, if you are broke ask for the guests to bring either sodas or pizzas instead of gifts, say maybe girls bring soda and guys bring pizza, or whatever works for you, then you provide the cake. you can do tie dye shirts at the party or something and borrow lava lamps and do it sort of ala 60s, bean bag chairs if anyone has any. incense, have people get wild colored sodas or make colored ice cubes with food coloring in them, or even make them with koolaid, to give kind of a psychodelic flair to it, and go to a fancy ice cream shop and order some dry ice and make a big bowl of koolaid and put dry ice in it and watch it smoke like witches brew. or put the soda cans in a double bucket with the dry ice and a little water in the bottom bucket and set the bucket full of sodas inside the bucket with the dry ice, make sure they dont fit too tightly so the smoke from the dry ice will rise around it, you can put some regular ice in on the soda cans if you need to. though dry ice is reallllllllly cold. serve big bowls of chips too if you want, the best idea is just have fun and enjoy your friends.

October - what about an old fashioned Halloween party?
scavenger hunt
witches caldron with dry ice - it only takes a bit
apple bobbing
you could do costumes and give a prize for best of a few different categories (everyone votes on costumes)
when you do the poster, have lots of colors of markers and let them draw pics as well
instead of a doorman have someone pose as a fortune teller
borrow a sound effects tape or CD from the library
cottonballs on a spoon race across the room to a bucket (timed and amount, no hands, hold spoon between teeth, or just use one hand)
if boy/girl you could do pass the orange using each other's necks, pass the life saver on toothpicks held in teeth, or pass the balloon between knees.
My daughter's birthday is in October, and she wanted a halloween theme most of the time - these are things we did at her teen parties, and they always thought it was great (the scavenger hunt was fabulous each time - and we did them at least 8 times with new lists each time).

I am sure you will get lots of ideas as well, but these all have worked well for teen parties.

Make it a video/dvd party.Let each guest bring their favorite one and vote on the one to view. The other ones could be used to only view bloopers/out-takes/at end,etc Make a large curtain into viewing room, and invitations are the ticket,(you could make these on computer, etc) .Order pizza or have it already made.Make some cool drinks in blender/smoothies,etc have goody bags with favorite kinds of movie candy(you can get these at a bargain store). If the person is ready to give up their video/dvd,you could tell them to bring it as a gift instead and encourage that they will be viewed at a later time on another week-end,but that the group will have to furnish the food and drinks then. You could pop some pop corn to make it smell like a theatre.Maybe you could rent a large pop corn machine? If you have a few dvd's you would like to give up,have a game to guess something about a few of them, and the dvd is theirs for the most correct answers. The older ,the better, maybe even thirteen years old, like Blues Clues,hahah..that will be funny and maybe somebody will really appreciate it,because they were really attached to that when they were small.I hope this is a 'thumbs up" as they say in the movie rating business.

since you have a very little budget, dress ur kid brother or a neighborhood kid up like a butler as the doorman, tell everyone to dress up in costumes , decorate the partying room with streamers, black lights, or make up a theme to your party ( like everyone dress up like a celebrity), turn on the music and rock out. Also, if you want, trick ur friends when they come over. Act all excited like the party is gonna be so cool and sit in a different room from the real party and make them do something lame like play scrabble with ur granny( the more u act excited about it, the better)
If you have a sleep over rent some movies, play truth or dare, games, popcorn, pizza, and whoever falls asleep first , put make up and shaving cream on their face and take a picture of them ( or put it in their hand and tickle their face so they smear it all over their own face) or carefully drag them in their sleeping bag outside aND HAVE THEM SLEEP IN UR BACKYARD. HOPE THAT HELPED. PLZ GIVE ME THE POINTS!

Have a gal taking pictures of guests with a Polaroid camera as they arrive. Then they have a pic of themselves looking all fresh & pretty at your party.
Stamp something at the bottom, like the date & " ____'s 13th birthday party".
If Polaroid film is too expensive, take pictures with a regular 35mm camera and have them fill out an envelope with their address so you can send it to them later.
Have fun, sweetie! Welcome to your teenage years! Oh, and good luck. You'll need it. : )

talk to your friends you could plan it together, if its nice out you could have a weiner roast/marshmellows, bon-fire and fire works, of course with music, if you dont have access to a fire play some music and just do what you like
