I've been on Ortho-tri Cyclen Lo for about year. I like that the pill has got me regulated perfectly. But my periods are 6-7 days long. First day or two is medium flow, the rest are super light, but just enough to require a liner. Its really dark brown. I also have lost a bit of sex drive since using BC. I want to try a new brand, but I'm not sure what. Anyone with these problems, what do you suggest. And I wont take anything other than the pill.

I have been on two birth controls. The first one was a shot called Lunelle that had to be injected once a month. I was on that for about 6 months before it was recalled for high pregnancy risks. Not to mention it messed up my periods pretty bad..there was a time I had a period for a month straight, although it was very light. The other one I was on was Ortho Evra, the birth control patch. I was on that one for about 6 months also before I decided to get off it because I wanted to conceive. That one seemed to work extremely well...I always got my period 3 days after it was removed for a week. I'm glad I stopped using that one because of the health risks that I found out about later. I personally am not going to take any form of birth control anymore after those experiences...I think i'll just stick with rubbers!

These are potent hormones and not good for health. They may cause coagaulation problesm leading to thrombosis and also may casue liver neoplasms. Rupture of some of these can be quite risky.
Use non drug methods only.
