Its after 8am right now in the mideast....and both sides have ceased firing.....at least for now.....I actually think the ceasefire will take hold over the next few days.....there may be some sporadic fighting....but not to the same extent we have seen over the past 4 1/2 weeks.....

Well Hezbollah is a life long buddy of Israel. They are playing dramas. Hezbollah gives Israel an innocent image despite its killing of 1500 Christains and Muslims including many children and also UNO officers. I had received an e mail from MER (Middle East Realities) 2 months back that Israel will launch a massive attack on Lebanon in about 2 months time and that really happened. ABduction of two Israeli soldiers is a big drama to Justify the act of terroirm full sponsered by we Americans' tax doallars

Part of the cease fire deal is that the U.N. forces coming to Lebanon disarm the Hezbollah thugs. Hezbollah now says they won't disarm. So the answer is no.

israel is the united states' ally. this whole mess started b/c of hezbollah..NOT ISRAEL!!! are you people so ignorant??!! hezbollah is a ill-legitamate group, their destruction sought by the government of lebanon as well as israel. if mexican drug-lords came accross the border and kidnapped border patrol agents and killed others, would you expect the U.S govt. to do nothing?? israel has already agreed to a longer lasting cease-fire if their soldiers were returned to israel. yes, innocent people have died, but don't forget that they are dying on BOTH sides.hezbollah are TERRORISTS! they know there is NO WAY to defeat israel in open military combat, they instead choose to use the tactics of a terrorist..human shields. they care less about innocent lives then they do their pets, but as long as innocents are placed in the line of fire and killed, they can and will use that to make people think israel is wrong. 10 million innocent soviets were killed in world war II, most willingly sacraficed by the soviet govt...but this was tolerated because it was nessecary to defeat hitler and the nazi's. compared to todays terrorists we would welcome hitler. (now i'm no neo-nazi, and i'm as glad or more that he is dead) but would you support Hitler over the United States? because thats the same thing you're doing now when you choose terrorists over your own country.

yes the U.N.imposed cease-fire went into effect Monday designed to end a month of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah guerrillas that killed more than 900 people, devastated much of southern Lebanon and forced hundreds of thousands of Israelis into bomb shelters.

As UNSC resolution 1701 becomes effective Aug 14th 5 am GMT, there is a build-up of Syrian tanks on the Syrian-Lebanon border. Syrian convoys are still bringing weapons into Lebanon. Lebanese army chiefs are refusing to deploy south of the Litani because Hizballah fighters are still armed. Nasrallah seems to have broken his word to order Hizballah fighters south of the Litani to hand in their weapons. Nasrallah maintains that Hizballah should maintain the right to defend itself against Israel.

Yes. The cease-fire will last exactly 2 hours and 9 minutes.
Then someone (most likely Hezbollah - since they're not trained military soldiers) will shoot something off and **** it all up and the whole damn clusterfuck will start up all over again.
The end.

Yes but this will continue further!
Israel under estimated hezbullah fighters... the only reason they ceasfire because they need to renforce them selfs, and find a new way to enter lebanon... because bombs and land didnt work... and blocking the supplies didnt work either...

Israel probably will, provided that the terrorists do not kidnap Israelis, bomb buses, cafes etc, or fire rockets at Israel

Any minute Mel's gonna get here and I wanted to beat him for once! His answers are cut and paste.
How can they just give up fighting for something they believe instantly because some other powers said to 'cut it out!' ?
