Having spent the last 3 years on the generic training side of the network marketing industry, there are a number of successful people with Coastal Vacations.
The way their compensation plan is set up is that the person that refers you to the program gets about 80% of what you pay in, but they have to have invested to the level that you are going to invest in at in order to qualify for that.
You will be looking at about a $10k+ investment to get to the full qualification level from what I remember. Then, you have to attract a subset of people that financially qualify to play at the same level.
The nice thing about the program is that you can get a return on your investment quickly and then make big hits (in wage earner numbers) each month as you bring more people on board.
The challenge is that unless you already run in circles with the income to invest in businesses at that level (minimum package starts around $2k if I recall correctly), you will have to invest more to find the right people.
Have your potential sponsor show you all of the models they are using to find people and what each one costs. I had one person using a pay per click program that he would spend over $1k/mo on but that would normally get him at least 1-3 new signups per month, so his net was typically over $3k, and usually more like $6k. He was a strong closer though and could get people to start.
If you don't have strong sales skills and/or a strong sphere of influence where you can get the ball rolling quickly, this might not be the best opportunity for you, as you have to give up your first 2 contacts to your sponser and then start making money. Since the average person in MLM doesn't sponsor more than 2 people, you could be dumping your money.
If you're going to make the commitment, be prepared to follow through on it.

Yes, Coastal Vacation is really a serious business. If your interest is selling travel packages
Coastal is perfect for you. I think any online business is a good business where you do not have
to stock product. And, make sure what ever business you start you have training.
Good Luck!
