Whether you live together or get married... it is all the same with Medicaid. Find out what the income limit is with two people living in the home. Medicaid for pregnancy goes by a different income limit than does Mediciad for children.

My Husband makes around $38,000 a year and has insurance through his job. We have four people living in our home. We qualified for pregnancy Medicaid for our daughter of 15, but not for our 3 year old. (The 15 year old is pregnant.)

So... It is worth it too check it out... I thought we wouldn't get the medicaid for our 15 year old, and our insurance doesn't cover maternity. I tried to use it first and was denied... Medicaid had to pay for it.

I think you are a very bitter, rude, cold person. I do agree that some ppl use the system, but there are ppl out there who do need the systems help.. not because they are lazy or useless but because they have had a hard life and got delt a bad hand. I am a mother of a 6 mo old baby that was bor 6 weeks early because I have bad health and have been diabetic for 15 years and was not using protection because I was told when I was 16 I would never be able to have a child. If it was not for Medicaid then there would be ho way I would have been able to pay for all the special care he and I both had to recieve that saved our lives. I think before you get on here and bash ppl who need assistance you should stop and think about how you are making ppl feel. I am a very good mom and that does jot change because I need help from the state. You are no better than anyone! So get off your high horse and realize that your s#* t don't smell like roses.

Yes, they would include his income on your current case. If both of your incomes combined exceed the limit to qualify for medicaid, then unfortunately you would lose your medicaid benefits. I definitely don't envy the position you are in but I hope everything works out for you. I understand also that it sounds as if he is working and has insurance where he can add you, but like you said, since you are already pregnant they would not cover your pregnancy.

It is possible, but you need to call the Medicaid office to find out. You may want to check his insurance also. Some companies do take pre-existing conditions. I know my son-in-law makes too much for my daughter to be on Medicaid. Just check.

yes, you could lose it, but medicaid is very easy to qualify for. you can make quite a bit, and still qualify. It's your right to know the details. call the medicaid office and find out.

Thanks to the baby, you probably still have a good chance of sustaining your medicaid. You will now have a dependent which is going to need a lot of your income. I am fairly certain Medicaid will keep you on.

yes, his income would be an issue if he makes to much you would not be eligible.
