my guy friend is always sooo boxed in when he's in public, but when he's inside with his closest friends(including me) he's such a fun guy(and the sad part is that he's HOT!). helpp!!

he is very shy and feels comfortable the most when he is with friends that he knows and trust. don't try to make him somebody that he is not. if others say oh such and such is a snob its up to you to say no he is just very shy. He will only open up in situations that he is comfortable in

Don't try to change his behaviour (which actually sounds like a personality trait). Accept him for who he is and how he is. How he acts in one setting to the next is an issue for you. But does it bother him? If not, then he has no issue and is fine with himself. If your friend was a girl would you be trying so hard to change who she is or would you accept her for who she is? Gender should not be an issue when dealing with personality traits. Accept and love your hottie, shyness and all.
Another way to look at it; you should feel complimented that he feels comfortable enough to be himself around you when not in public, this is a sign of trust.

Just tickle him, Every chance you get. Stick your finger is in his nose, anything to make them laugh. Be playful. The guy will resist at first but he will love it and eventually he will loosen up.

talk to him... explain why u r frustrated. then maybe if he is ur true friend he will open up... and plus.. u say hes HOT. well maybe u should give him ur best kissing. and maybe start a relationship.
