Im just so annoyed. My friend is driving me up the wall. Shes calling like every hour on the hour. She was in a relationship with a druggie for 3 years and now that she left him, shes getting involved with another druggie. She keeps calling and telling me every detail about what he does. It can be he didnt pay attention to her or it can be that he did the dishes wrong. Im there for her but im sooo tired of it. Thats all she calls for, men. Never just to say hi or see how im doing. She goes from 1 druggie relationship to another. And calls me every minute. I have a life too! Shell call at 3am and wake me & my husband up to tell me that he was watching a movie and not her. How should i tell her to stop without sounding mean?

do you think that she is also doing drugs? shut off your phone at night or do not answer...tell her that you enjoy being her friend and like talking to her, however you and your husband need your sleep and would appreciate her not calling all hours of the evening. when she does call during the day and rambles on, gently try to change the subject, tell her you're busy and that you will call her back or just don't answer. if this doesn't work, tell her the truth, in a nice way.

Talk to your friend and let her know that you will always be there for her, but you do have a life as well. Try to limit your phone calls to her and unplug the phone when you go to bed, if you have to. Your friend chose to be in a "druggie" relationship and she shouldn't be complaining about that to you. Since she's very unhappy about it, she should leave. The best thing that you can do is to stay out of it. If all goes well, she'll learn the hard way and she will be with someone that will treat her right. I hope my advice helps. I wish you the best of luck.

I would tell her you have a life to,and she needs to stop calling about ever little thing and if she is unhappy with this guy she is with...She needs to leave him and find a good man and stay alway from druggie bastard...If you want this to stop, this is what you have to do... So go for it...You deserve a life with your husband with out this bullshit...

I would just flat out ask her why she keeps dating these drug heads. Why would she be dating them if she wasn't doing it to. Tell her she deserves better than that, and she is only hurting herself if she keeps dating these guys. Every time she calls you you should tell her that she knows she can do better. She may come to her senses, and leave the jerk. If not then it's all her own fault.

Well, you can not answer. Let her leave a message on your machine. And once you go to bed, I'd simply unplug the phone.
You're a friend....Not her keeper. Yes, you DO have a life.

Instead og giving hints you should just say it stright up, but politely of course and just tell her maybe she'll understand and wont feel hurt or anything
