Now, if one doesn't WANT to get married but DOES go to Vegas with one's boyfriend and drinks too much and ends up married by Elvis, does that constitute as having intention?

Well, technically, it would because it would be before you get married (whether you plan on getting married or not)
But I would say that it just depends on your moral views on the issue. If premarital sex bothers you, then don't have sex before marriage.

Yes; pre- meaning "before" and marital being "marriage". There is no implication that you must marry that particular person with whom you choose to "know in a Biblical sense." (I'm laughing b/c I made a funny ;) ).
