Terrorists aren't attacking our freedom, they're killing our people. Our government is the one compromising freedom. We are supposed to have the best intelligence on Earth, but we have to resort to using library records to find terrorists, ala USA PATRIOT act?

It's scary.

Americans have outdated views and need to realize that the world is changing and our views need to change too. For example, the don't ask-don't tell policy in the military. More people are coming out that they like members of the same sex as they are. I know several people who are gay or lesbian or bi. Just because of your sexual orientation doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to be in the military. Also, sunbathing topless and drinking when you're 18. Americans need to realize that sunbathing is harmless. Sure it can cause skin cancer, but what happens with cancer is whatever causes it latches on to cells and if those cells are cancerous, than you can get cancer, but some people don't get cancer because the cancer causer doesn't latch on to cancerous cells and many people don't ever get cancer. Some people who have smoked since they were 15 don't get lung cancer because the cells in their lungs weren't cancerous. Americans have a problem with nudity and think it's wrong when the rest of the world just deals with it. With the drinking age being 21, there are teens who will get alcohol in one way or another and most countries have a minimum drinking age of atleast 18. People say that if the drinking age is lowered to 18, younger people will start drinking. Investigate high school parties where freshman are invited. There might be drinking there. Parents might give their kids alcohol to try it when they're young, who knows. But what I think is Americans have outdated views and there will be no such thing as world peace or freedom because times will always be changing and there will always be one country under government where people can't make choices for themselves, and there will always be wars. Until every country can get along with their neighbor and understand the views of every other country will there be freedom in the world and world peace from fighting. Until then, America needs to change their views.

The ones they are fighting want to take freedom away from those who have it and prevent those who want freedom from getting it. Osama bin Laden for example. He wants to conquer or kill everyone who does not think like he does. That includes other moozlims. The world is sadly full of many individuals and groups who are perfectly happy to kill you so they can impose their will.

The only thing faulty is your question--it reflects shortsightedness, immaturity, and a general lack of understanding of how the world is.

Don't worry, it will get better with time. The human brain does not mature until age 22 and the last parts to mature are those of judgement and higher reasoning. Take your vitamins and get plenty of sleep and you will grow up to be a normal thinking human some day.

I agree. They just want oil. Because they owe over trillion of dollars, reelected the same president that made them poor, their people don't have jobs to hold on too..and dey don't have any much natural resources left because they contributed to the world's pollution with their industrial success.
In all, they need external sources. So whats better den to attack a country and so called created a colony.

Any amount of freedom has been pushed home by the point of a sword or barrel of a gun. While we try to end things peacibly, invariably we find those that don't wish to talk. Would you rather we stayed at home? Doesn't seem to be working in Israel/Lebanon.......... or are you not one of the many railing the US for not taking a stronger stance (read 'military stance') for peace between them?

ignorance mostly and lack of information

The more advanced countries just invent their own terror and then identify it where they want it to be, so they can then attack to achieve their agendas.

You cant fight terror it is an idea "the war on terror" is just buzz words to keep the sheeples happy at home and not thinking too much.

Why do you think Americans think that? Its not about "soldiers fightng" its about the struggle to give innocent victims of tyranny a chance at freedom.
