Inner beauty is always better.
Remember the old song:
If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you
If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you
A pretty woman makes her husband look small
And very often causes his downfall
As soon as he married her and then she starts
To do the things that will break his heart
But if you make an ugly woman your wife
A-you'll be happy for the rest of your life
An ug-a-ly woman cooks meals on time
And she'll always give you peace of mind
If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you
[Sax solo]
Don't let your friends say you have no taste
Go ahead and marry anyway
Though her face is ugly, her eyes don't match
Take it from me, she's a better catch
If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you
[Spoken:]
Say man!
Hey baby!
I saw your wife the other day!
Yeah?
Yeah, an' she's ug-leeee!
Yeah, she's ugly, but she sure can cook, baby!
Yeah, alright!
If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you
If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you
If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you
If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you

This almost sounds like a beauty contest where everyone wants "world peace". Oh! I want to be ugly, but beautiful on the inside. No way! You should be asking, "why aren't people more truthful"? I'll be brutally honest [with myself and you] by saying I can't do a thing about my outer beauty, diets notwithstanding, but I can work on inner beauty. The problem is, most people won't admit they need improving. It's always someone else who has to change.
I am at the age where I am happy with who I am and how my heart is. I am a good person inside and out, but I realize I cannot always meet everyone's approval. That is not my problem, but theirs. I find it hard to judge myself, so I don't and I wouldn't intentionally judge anyone else. That doesn't mean they won't. Again, not my concern.
I just try to live right and treat people how I like to be treated. And the words I would have hoped to hear from you, Oh! Great and powerful Oz is what you told the Tinman, "A heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others."
Humbly yours,

Most people are visual. I for one react to what I see. If you want to get a point across you must back it with intelligence and a look that doesn't make someone want to run for the hills. I think when you are beautiful on the inside people can see the beauty on the outside. After all, what is beauty? If someone was considered beautiful on the outside and was less than human on the inside. I'd bet that you would start to see it on the outside.

It is easier to change how you look on the inside than how you look on the outside. Being physically beautiful opens a lot of doors both personally and professionally.
There is a saying...beauty is only skin deep but ugly goes all the way to the bone...
In the end, you will probably live a better life if you are beautiful on the outside.

I would change to being beautiful on the outside and risk being a shallow, self-centered person than be the ugly interesting person I am now... Idealy I'd LOVE being somewhere in between. But thats just not possible for me.

well, for one thing im not pretty. i would probably see myself as being ugly, but interesting. a couple of days ago i had someone tell me i was beautiful, but they said that to my younger sister and older sister, and they are a priest, plus they're from madeira and they dont really know english properly. i dont judge myself based on the standards of the world, but what i see in the mirror and what other people tell me. i think im more beautiful on the inside, though sometimes i dont show it because im constantly being told off. i used to be able to swallow it in and just take it, but as i've got self-confidence i've been able to stick up for myself more. ofcourse, i would like to be pretty, but unfortunately im not. if i were pretty though, i would still try to be beautiful on the inside, not shallow. i have never been shallow, and it's not me at all. people have been shallow towards me, even telling it to my face, but i dont really care anymore what people think of me. at the end of the day, its me who's living my life, not them. in a way, it's good that i'm different to them.

a lot of people will jump and say pretty on the inside because they think that is what they are supposed to say. I think it is really hard to know when you have only been one or the other all your life. Plus, since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it is hard to judge. Once someone loves you, he or she sees you as beautiful, right?
I think the most important thing is to have self confidence, self esteem, and then be beautiful on the inside. That way, that inner beauty will shine through and that is all people will see. HOwever when someone that is not the standard beauty feels awkward and shy because of it, it is hard for anyone to get to know him or her well enough to know what is inside.

I would choose inner beauty, because I hate shallow people. Also, people can be ugly, but when they're beautiful on the inside, there's something about them that you can't stay away from....
