Does anyone else agree with me that their old music was way better?

old music was infinity times better. I crank the old stuff.. scar tissue californication in my car.. the new music will not even be played on my computer speakers

I was never a Red Hot Chili Peppers fan until my husband bought Stadium Arcadium and I was made to hear it...now I am an avid fan and I like there old stuff too!!

Early, early RHCP albums were too unfocused, in my opinion. They gained a good edge with "Mother's Milk" and "Blood Sugar Sex Magic," though. "One Hot Minute" was weird, but without Frusciante, what could you expect? "Californication" was good, but it showed signs of mellowing. "By the Way" only re-inforced the notion that they were losing touch with the funk. The new album is alright, but they're reaching in too many directions at once while not crafting much singularly catchy or fantastically experimental material. I'd say they're in a weird position where they're blasting out a lot of music but its not progressing as much as one would hope.

they used to be better, john frusciante should leave for another 8 year hiatus , let all his creative tension build up , and then bust out with another californication-quality album
but , without experimentation music would stagnate
and chilli peppers first few albums weren't anywhere near as listenable as their later stuff

The first time I listened to Stadium Arcadium I was saying to myself "what the hell was that ****"? Then I listened to it again and I absolutely loved it. Just give it another chance and you'll probably aquire the taste of the new music.

I like it.... I have to admit, it is different, but you can still tell that its them! lol they still have their style...
But i agree that their old music was good...but not better

I think there newer stuff sounds more like there older stuff from when the band was first starting...

I DISAGREE I LIKE THE MUSIC AND IT SHOWS THEY HAVE STAYING POWER THEY KEEP ROCKING ON!
