KANK , the most awaited film of the year was a BIG dissapointment for me.The film was way too long & the charaterization of some actors like SRK was lousy. Are these films made keeping the lowest common denominator in mind? His previous movies were much better. Worst thing is u cant go by the reviews in the paper as Karan carries a lot of clout so they all praise the movie.

hindi movies by the so called A class directors suck!! give me raj kumar santoshi and the others who do not mind a little experiment in story telling.
playing on the typical sentiments of family, song and dance and all that comercial masal bullshit is out dated.
karan johar should retire or get with the program of being ahead of his time with a little experimenting.

I don't think KANK is that bad! For me, the only thing I missed out is, Kajol, who I think would be the best pair for SRK, at least in Karan's film! Priety is not any close to Kajol is terms of expressions. Yeah.., I do agree that the film is a bit long! But, I feel it's nice!!!
I think Karan has not lost his groove, it's all the hype before a film and that would be the reason for your dissappointment!! :-)

Yes friend, I completely agree with your view. Karan johar and Rakesh roshan whenever they make movies press always have good reviews about their movies even if they are super flop and with same old story.

He and Shahrukh is loosing ground...as u can Sharukh looks quite old in movie and previews....he is in bad shape after is back surgery....so Karan also is loosing all plots....and it was a copy from a hollywood movie....so obviously when u try to make it strech to 3 hrs....it wiill be lousy

well! either u 'hate him' or 'love him' but u cant 'ignore him'.. KANK goes a big way to prove it..
there are some who have a sort of has a hatred towards his work yet they end up watching it.. maybe just due to curiosity..
and then there r others who love it..
either ways he's the one who ends up happy & with a major profit..

i dont think that KANK was that bad. i think the story is very realistic & mature.

yes, i think its time he gets married(if he can finds a proper man to marry) or else he will make us mad and screwed up with his movies like the new one.
