Buddy Holly.
Though many don't remember him because he left us so soon:
"Bye Bye Miss American Pie....
that'll be the day that I die...
that'll be the day that I die....."
he had a unique sound that struck a chord with the 60's and 70's generations and yet, his music lives on still today.
Little Richard on the other hand (what is he, around 75 years old by now?) was part of the rock and roll revolution that started in the 50's along with Elvis of course and many other rocknrollers.
Too bad Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, Richie Valens and the rest had to die when they did in that field 51/2 miles north of Clear Lake, Iowa. ...they could have given us so much more.
It was indeed: "The Day the Music Died."

Buddy Holly. To put him in a vs. match against Little Richard is like pitting Elvis against the morons who gave us the "macarena", but that's just my opinion.
Buddy Holly by a landslide, sis.
