My friend is an American citizen but currently living in China. Do you think she is in danger if she became a Christian there?

Just let her make up her own mind about what she wants to be.

China is a civilize country, its people are free to do whatever they wish as long as its legal. They can follow any religion and lifestyle that they wish and won't be in danger or what so ever.
You should preach your friend online and be preach by someone that is more civilize than you and know the world's politics better.
What kind of shallow minded people are you?It is the only civilize and free country in the world is your own country?Where people won't be in danger for being in the religion that they wish?I'm sure in your country there something called library, maybe you should spend some time there other than preaching

Danger is minimal. I am sure the people she is with over there will tell what she can and cannot get away with. If she is an american citizen, she will have considerably more freedom than the locals. Spead the word. God uses us to do his work for him most of the time and he appreciates the help.
Good luck.
PS, I have never lost a friend by telling them the truth about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I grew up in China. Religion is really a big no-no there. But she is a US citizen. I would just do it through mail. I wouldn't do it over the phone or on the internet.

There are many Christians in China. I don't think so but then I don't live there. Ask your friend.

I don't know the current or recent reaction of the Chinese towards christianity, but I don't think she would be in danger as some Chinese people are christians.

I think religion is a personal decision and unless your friend specifically stated on her own first that she'd be interested in conversion from you and you only, I would not tread that territory.

By the way, there are Christians in China. If you were so connected to your faith you would know that.

there is never danger in becoming a christian. it would be sad to happen ...but what could be better than even if you had to die for your belief in GOD!
we all have to go sometimes....so what a way to go!
wouldn't it be alot worse if something happened and she wasn't a chirstian?!
