I know most insurace from what i have heard have a "pre-existing condition' policy. ie they won't cover you if you are already pregnant when you get their insurance. Serious answers only please. And if you dont know, please dont answer. I am sure there has to be someone who has been in this postion before. thanks.

Thanks for all of you who are giving serious answers, all except that first one. but you'll have that. so medicaide seems to be a good idea i didnt think of that. Is it free or do u have to pay so much a month?

by the way along w/ what Natalie Rose said, for the people who have anything to say about it, well they just dont understand. lets see them try to have a baby w/ the money out of their back pocket when regular insurance comapanies wont take you. ( which i think is crap)

I couldn't get regular insurance like you said so I ended up getting it through the state (WA). I would contact your local WIC (Women Infant Children) office to get info. If there isn't a WIC office by you visit the closest health office.

Good Luck!

Could you possibly add info to say what state your in and what major city your located next to and I'll look the info up and post it. Thanks.

When I found out I was pregnant, I went to planned parenthood to take an additional test to get the proof of pregnancy. There they asked me if I needed insurance and I told them yes. They had me fill out the paperwork there for medicaid. its not an overnight process but its needed.

And for those people out there I work and pay my taxes.

go to your local county DSS (dept. social services) most of them have a program called WIC (women, infants, and children) it helps out with various costs for pregnant and post labor (up to 6 months i think) women, infants that are on formula or b.milk, and children up to the age of 5. You can always apply for medicaid thru the DSS as well.

you can get on state medicaid throughout your pregnancy and soon as the child is born will automatically be on it to that way you can get health checks and immunization for your kid. most state insurances will give a pregnacy test to prove you are to get you on it.

No way. There is no exception to the "pre-existing condition" clause.
