Without question, I say crying is very manly. I cry. Every human being I've ever met--male or female--cries, whether they admit it or not.

Most of the people who have told me that crying is unmanly have been insecure about life in general. I cry out of pain and I cry out of joy. A moving story in a film can bring tears. The sight of my son growing in his abilities and in his spirit can bring a happiness that is best expressed through joyfull tears.

So I am in favor of men crying in a healthy way; I am not in favor of telling young boys not to cry.

I am...well, not quite a man, but I'm pretty close...

Maybe I'm an exception, but I have no qualms with crying. At least in terms of manliness.

I know my father used to yell at me when I cried in the past, telling me I was dumb for doing it, but I never found it unmanly. In fact, I'm pretty sure the world appreciates men who are able to open up occasionally and understand that crying is something that can cleanse rather than hurt your image.

It depends on how you deal with your emotions and problems, but for me, crying is a way of releasing without hurting anyone else around me.

I do tend to isolate myself when I cry, mostly because I tend to lose temper when I am around others. I have learned that by isolating myself, my frustration becomes released rather than channeled to anger.

In any case, it isn't unmanly to cry, and guys who say it is need to grow the balls to be able to open up with their emotions.

Enough said.

Men don't cry, that is what is wrong anymore when people say it is ok to cry and get in touch with your touchy feely side. Men need to be men and not wimps. As a woman do you really want a man that cries or a man that you feel safe with? Any woman will not truley feel safe with a man that cries either so don't say that is the case, a woman wants a man that will kick azz for her, take care of her, be a Man!!!

Nope not really.
Emotions are common to human. Its the same between the men and female. But the only difference is womens are so sensitive than men so they use to cry for all. But its not so for men. But it dosnt matters that they wont cry. They do cry for something which hurt them more.
If a man cries for everything like a girl then u can mean it as unmanliness.
But it depends upon the suituation alone.

Why does ur questions are so. R u making ur man to cry or want ur man to cry?, lol.

Well if a guy starts bawling hysterically because he just dropped his ice cream or lollipop I would have trouble thinking of him as James Bond.

But hey, that's just me ..maybe that overly sensitive reaction seems macho to some women ? Although I would think he was tougher and more manly if he scooped up the ice cream off the street the best he could , put it back into the cone and cruched through the the debris and sand ..even if he were still sobbing away as he did it .

It would depend on the situation. Crying during a movie is unmanly, but crying because a family member died is respectable.

Firstly, I am a man's man: I never cried when inflicting massive amounts of pain when disastering myself playing sports (mostly rugby and football) or any of the other multitude of injuries I have inflicted on myself from falling out of trees to running myself over with a quad bike...

However, them bloody people in Holywood that make the films..
they get me all the time: my first reaction is stifle the tears back but they come anyway...I am a sucker for it for some reason: I blame it on surround sound and the music being delibrately manipulative in this respect..

ummm.. does that make me a p*ssy then?

I think crying is a normal thing for everybody both man and woman, there's lot of reason people crying which is showing what we have experience in emotion, empathy when u listening someone his/her story, affection, caring, desire, when u lose or win, sad or happy, and so on. In this life I have met lot of people, which I think they are strong but they can also crying.
Crying wont show men weak but it shows that men have feeling and emotion toward everything, even there are men who dont show up their crying in front of people. I hupe these answer will help u what r u looking for.

absolutely a man crying is unmanly, i can't even visualize my father crying, no matter how hard i try, we were raised in the way, the man is the head of the household, the rock...and this is also how i raise my sons...might sound tough, but it's a tough world.....

Sometimes there's nothing like a good cry. If you're a man who thinks that crying is a sign of weakness, you've got a problem. Remember, even Jesus wept.
