Right now, Jupiter is visible in the west after sunset. It's awfully bright. But as the previous people said (rather rudely), this changes from year to year, month to month, and hour to hour. Of course, that's because not only is Earth moving around the Sun, but so are all the other planets!

Your location has very little to do with it...at least a location in western Canada is generic enough that the planets you can see there aren't any different than most of the rest of the world. Since your question displays such a profound misunderstanding of planetary motions, I won't get into more detail...I would suggest buyin a book on the subject or taking an astronomy class.
And as for the time...you need to be a bit more specific. Do you mean THIS summer? And even then, what month, what week? The planets are always moving around...the answer to your question changes constantly and is never the same from one year to the next.

That's a very vague question. Is this something you have seen recently? Or is this a more general question?
